  1. In 2006 I was in the steam room of 24 Hour Fitness and spotted this watch on the floor with a broken dispay case crystal. I did the right thing and turned it in to managment but alas, no one claimed it so I kept it. I was told by a dealer it was a fake Tag Kirium and they could not help me. I did find a watchmaker that could and replaced the movement with a $25 21 jewel automatic and new crystal and got it working great. When I was in the GEN market I gave it to my brother in-law who wore it for years with NO issues but dropped it recently and broke the crystal again. The movement still works and all it needs is a new crystal and a good ckean up and I would like to have it working again. I have never seen a Kirium rep in the market and I would have never know WHAT model Tag it was replicating. Any ideas?
  2. Just checking File Uploader Cool it works
  3. I bought this TT Daejust rep from a friend who was a car dealer in 89...he said a jeweler had made 2, a mens and lasies for his wife. Now in my limited knowleged of reps....really good Chinese ones were hard to find in the 80's sans the crappy ones...This rep may very well have a GEN dial and Bezel...but I cannot tell. The movement appears to be a 17 jewel ETA..it still works however the crown is bad and missing (tried to have this movement put in a Tag Kirium rep and the watchmaker had issues with replacing the crown) the sweep is awsome but the crystal, which I think is mineral has a coke bottle kinda green hue to it that turned me off years ago...the Italian TT Jubilee bracelet has the gold wearing off but I would rather have the TT Oyster. I have met a few local N.Texas guys here I hope can help me get it rolling again...it was WAS a great wearing rep until I retired it. Any ideas or commenta about this rep are welcome for sure..Thanks RWG dudes.
  4. 1977 Seiko 6309-8010 17 Jewel Automatic. This was my Dad's watch and in Heirloom #3, I have 107 years of heirloom watches. I had this on resotred in 2007, it was really beat to hell and back.

  6. This is the Daydate President 20100 model w/blue dial in platinum...this is the $57,000 ripoff.
  7. Great looking Sub and SD Randy.....wanna sell me one? LOL
  8. I was in downtown Ft.Worth, Texas yesterday eating at Razoo's with my family after a funeral of one of my oldest frinds...CODP took him. There were hundreds of LSU Tigers and Oregon State Ducks there in town for "The Cowboy Classic" NCAA football game. Anyway, the downtown area Sundace Square is an amazing meca of resturants and shopping. We walked into a Rolex AD called Haltoms and I asked "what is the most expensive Rolex you have today". She pulled out the President Daydate w/baby blue dial in Platinum, a whopping $57,000 WOW I about fainted. So, I owned a Gen 16610 Z series Submariner that I bought new in 2007 for $4875. They now retail that Sub for $8000, are you serious. Now I love gen Rolex's but it will be a COLD day in hell before I drop $8k retail for a 16610. I was laughing inside, just laughing.
  9. Hey man, Bummer about the rep. I would suggest contacting the dealer, I have always had them take of things but patience is the key, it takes a while but I would imagine it would get handled. The Valjoux 7750 is a great movement and I am sure you will get it taken care of. welcome to the board and you will get a lot of help from the folks. Good Luck, Rob

  13. I dont know one Asian automatic movement from the rest but I have several Asain movement watches including Invicta's that work great as far as I am concerened. Reliable, no issue what so ever...I agree I was taken in by the Infomercial/
  14. You are right, I read about Swiss horology and saw that Indeed Invicta was misre[resenting Swiss Made and was forced to backstep. I and just a WIS so any watch shows get my attention however I had never heard of Selita and found it interesting. They made NO direct references to Rolex, Tag or Omega...just obvious comments i.e. price and so on. I just found it interesting is all and wanted to share it. I have enjoyed some great comments and learned alot from you guys. Thanks
  15. I am just talking about what i watched.....whatever it was....
  16. I swear to God i just watched the DVR'd show and rewound it 3 times to make sure I got it right....your choise to not believe though.. Regards, Rob
  17. Man oh man....I was watching shopNBC's Prime Time Watchtes w/Tim and Mike Davis of Invicta last night and saw an Invicta Reserve Excursion Automatic Chronograph with a Sellita SW500 movement in it at $675 completly SWISS MADE too. They said in so many words that this movement has now surpassed the ETA Valjoux 7750 as "THE" Automatic Chrono movement too have, they even said that Rolex will most likey be modifying this movement and calling it a Rolex Calibre movement for the new Daytona and also that Tag, Omega and other highend watchmakers are snatching this up....They also said they were able to go into Sellita and work with them to modify the movement to work for Invicta and ETA would have never done that... The Invicta was KILLER and hopefully the new Daytona Reps will use this movement, at more money, of course and end the whipping of the failing Valjoux movement...anyone got anything to chime in on? They also said the SW200 has surpassed the ETA 2824 and a SW300 is due out soone as well with will surpass the ETA 2892...and the floodgates open because THAT will be the platform for SOOO many timepieces.
