Looks like the perfect size for my 7.5" wrist, not too big and not too small.

Somebody with a good camera will be posting much better photos of this beauty. I will let the experts judge its perfection or lack there of....but yes, it is everything I hoped it would be.

In comparing it to gen photos it seems spot on. The quality of the SS case and bracelet is very nice. Good weight and balance on my wrist. Without doubt it is certainly one of the best reps I own.

With an OEM black alligator...or Kevlar/Nylon strap it could be the best looking chrono out there. Definitely my new daily beater.

My advice is 'Try it...you'll like it.'

Looking good! Mine should arrive later this week. I think this is a very flexible design, with a gator strap it goes nicely with a suit or more formal dress, with the bracelet or nylon strap it becomes sporty.

I noticed this year after the Chinese New Year holiday how slow new models are coming onto the dealers sites. In the past, this time of year through June has been the best time of the year for the introduction of new models and improvements on the old reliable one. Except for a few Breiltlings, I have noticed too much.

This may be a corallary on the string started a few weeks ago regarding how dealers are disapperaring.

My fear is that the Chinese government is starting to crack down making it harder to make and sell reps. My hope is that I just think this and in fact it's not true.

Any thoughts out there in replica land?

It's just you. Since CNY we've had the IWC Pilot Chrono, the improved PAM 199 and the improved Arktos, and those are just the models I am watching... there are probably others. I think this is going to be a good year for reps.

@promotersf, i'll back you up on this one. i've been really frustrated lately. not because of delays in communication from our dealers or waiting on a special project (i'm also waiting on a datewheel for my 63), but because of all of the members who have been bitching lately about how bad they have it. threads like this just bring down the morale of the forum.

maybe we should have admin start a special forum called "the venting forum" where people can go and vent about how frustrated they are about waiting 10 days (10 days!!!! the horror!!!!!) before getting a replica watch sent from the other side of the world or how their tracking number isn't working. that way people can have their pity party along with other folks who feel the same.

@chad, based on this post, it has been less than two weeks since you paid EL for the watch. are you really concerned that you aren't going to get your watch? if so, that's one thing. if you're just frustrated about the delays, all i can say is that we've all been there -- really excited about a particular watch or project, and anxious for it to arrive.

I think it boils down to this:

Some of the members asked Eddie when their watch would be shipped when they ordered. He could have said "in 2 weeks" or "in 30 days", but instead he gave a date in the near future, setting expectations. The date has come and gone, nothing shipped and there was a lack of communication from Eddie. There may have been some kind of problem, in which case, a quick e-mail or forum post to update everyone is all that is required (and Eddie did this). I am not suggesting that Eddie has scammed anyone, or has run away with our money. The lesson to be learned here, is [a] for members to take what a dealer says with regard to delivery dates with a pinch of salt and for dealers to improve communication when delays or problems arise.

I am also waiting for 2 different items from parts projects initiated by forum members, but to me there is a difference between the level of service I expect when dealing with other forum members and forum dealers.

@lenix, that is a very nice looking watch! I am considering the silver dial carrera and I think your photos clinch it for me. I didn't think the silver dial would look so good with a rubber strap but it looks great on the rubber or the bracelet. Thanks for posting the pics.

I don't think so - I don't think anyone actually has a working tracking number right now.

Omega SMP (Black dial) or Planet Ocean (Black dial). Both watches look good with smart or casual dress, don't look too showy but have a quiet understated elegance (and aren't Rolex - always a bonus )

There are plenty of other dealers but none of them offer the new 42mm pilot watch!!!

I think he has the croc staps, but if they are anything like the other rep croc straps I have had supplied with reps, you are better to go with the bracelet and buy a genuine alligator or croc strap for about $90. It will look better, feel better and smell better

I think the swiss 7753 Daylight uses the separate adjuster on the left hand side of the case (use a pen to push it).

For the record I did not say I got 3-4 that did not work. I have gotten 5 from him with one that I cannot get him to replace....that is all. 4 worked great and were shipped lighting fast. Thus my continued support of him.

This is why I cannot come to this board with a problem. I have rarely seen anyone be successful either doing it.

The dealers are infallible and the attitude here is absolutely insane regarding these kind of things. I cannot even get people to support our dealers communicating better.

People can flat out have stories of mis dealings with dealers and all they get here is the "so and so is the man and my best friend and can do wrong" You would think most of the dealers here have been the best man in most peoples weddings.

I am not TRASHING eddie. He has been NOT straight forward in emails with me and has my money. He had just publicly not followed through what he said he would in the main forum. He will not tell us what the issues with this watch are.

That is not crap just because you had good dealings with him or think he is your best friend. I LIKE Eddie too and like the stuff he gets me but there is a line and if we draw no line things will get worse with our dealings.

So on that note bring on the "Eddie is the man and donates his profits to aids research and feeding the homeless and has just won the noble peace prize for is work in repology and can do no wrong"

I think we can feel your frustration and share in it. The best thing to do right now is sit tight for the next week or so and see what happens. Eddie has clearly had a problem that he didn't expect, he may not wish to share his problem right now due to legal or other issues (remember we suspect these forums are being monitored by some of the payment companies, etc.)

A nobel prize for services to the replica industry... now there's a thought!

I may have to cannibalize the yacht for that one of a kind upgrade. Just hope the wife doesn't notice.

Like I said earlier, the weight is not relevant, because by the time you have it in your hands and are able to judge the weight, the other differences become obvious. Are there any photos that show the difference between the mineral and the sapphire glass? Does the sapphire have A/R coating, or are they both clear?

i am worry, because the old Jones version (with undecorated swiss unitas) has a very nice sapphire glass. When you see this old version with new version (without sapphire) side by side... you will see a BIG difference.

I am not sure people are questioning Eddie's reputation, I think they just would like to get a status report...I dont think that is at all unreasonable considering the issues Eddie seems to be having with PP, having to changing his dealer name, refunding peoples money without giving a reason/update etc....

My thoughts exactly. All we need is a little bit of info and we can put our minds at rest. Just for the record, I have bought around 6-7 watches from Eddie over the last 3 years and always had a tracking number (although sometimes it didn't work until the day the watch was delivered!)

Well i paid western union so it has nothing to do with that. Something is up. I do not want to start anything but the emails i have received from him about it have been sketchy at best. Before I sent the money he was responsive and stated it would ship right away. As of now he is not returning my emails.

I got such responses earlier this week like "it has shipped" then when I asked for tracking it actually had not but was awaiting "clearance". I asked what clearance meant and he said it had to go through chinese customs and us customs before he could get a tracking number.....we all know that is not true.

I would love if someone could comfirm that there watch has shipped. If no one can......we have a problem of some kind and eddie should INFORM us of the status.

Things come up but made up answers and not keeping us in the know is not cool.

Hmmm, similar to me, I paid on the 20th, but have never been told it was shipped. I hope Eddie comes back with something (anything!) in the next day or so as he stopped answering my mails 3 days ago now and some communication, even to announce a further delay, would be most welcome.
