Thanks Shundi, sorry about the late reply
No worries- hope it helped!

Pictures would be good... also, a healthy dose of skepticism.
-
No, there's not. Even the gen stuff on eBay barely goes a few bucks below list price once the auction has ended.
It's Tiffany's--it's all in the name--like Rolex, their resale value is going to be almost 100%.

Movado Museums if you're on the cheap- attractive, dependable, classy.

THANK YOU ZIG AND TOAD! Finally - a true, correct way to spot a fake ETA!!

History Lesson: The original RWG was free as the admin had the notion that accepting donations would corrupt the perception of it being somehow "sponsored" and perceived as a scam itself. His original intent was to just put up a website that exposed scam watch websites. His big mistake was to allow a forum onto the website which was so successful it overwhelmed everything, including the server, bigger bandwidth cost more. What to do? "accept donations" allowing it to even grow bigger and the rest of the problems followed.
I think the "manifesto" or "prime directive" of the original RWG is still carried out for "free" by the progeny forums RWG, RWG1.1, RG and RWI. Its good to know that none require a paid membership and gladly give their time and efforts to steer members away from being scammed. In a sense these forums are voluntary organizations and they work the same as your local community organizations. A few volunteers will always benefit proportionately more of the populace that don't volunteer. I agree with Doc that no one should be shamed into feeling they have to "donate", that goes against the original concept of the forums, "free information".
Extremely, extremely well said.

SWEET!!!

Hands wouldn't work, crown position would probably be off, dial feet would be off

Lani,
As always: a superbly in-depth review- really illustrates the differences and the success of this new model!

Thanks everyone, this certainly is worth keeping. My next step of course will be a complete service from the master.
I need the master to service my favorite watch- my 1002! Someday I'll get through on his PM-or have one of you lads recommend me

Is it 20 MM? I also have a spare (albeit not correct for the period) Jubilee or "Riveted" Oyster bracelet if you need it.

Sweet...weird on the movement though!
-
I really don't think the 21k movement makes a difference in this model. The only time you would notice the movement is when the chrono is running, but given the fact that the gen chrono hand circles the dial in 30 seconds, anybody who knows about watches will notice this before the stuttering hand.
If you are looking for a more accurate bentley, go with the 6.75 big date.
Very true.

I'd buy the higher beat version personally but both are fine if serviced. The 28,800 vph version is more accurate to the gen in terms of sweep if I recall... Check with the collectors to see who sells in Europe.

Duracell batteries......No other batteries last like them, no other batteries burn like them!

Rolex EverRose gold is flat out impossible to fake - sorry. Even standard gold is tough but anyone who has seen Rolex ER is going to know... - I suggest Homer's Rose Gold Tourbillon if you REALLY want an awesome (gen, no less) watch with an amazing complication!
Best of luck,
