Cooool! Where can you pick up those dials? Are they custom made individually or are they made in runs?

Work of art indeed! Beautiful!!

Hey look at this website:
http://breitling-col...ead&threadID=29
All movement that we find in this style of chrono-matic:
Kaliber 11, 11-2, 12, 14, 15
And where they speak about mine:

very interesting !!!
Nice research and a beautiful movement!

The other dream watch would, of course, be Cubby's Sub. Imagine the arguments you could end with that!
"In Goldfinger, Sean Connery wore ... THIS one."
Agreed!!!!

Unfortunately that deal tanked. The guy acted like it was the only SFSO in the world.
But no worries... I'll find one soon. My only problem is that I want it shipped from the EU and there simply aren't as much offerings here. Ironic, isn't it... they're all European watches and 90% of the preowned offerings are in the USA. Of course we have stores like Blowers Jewellers but their prices are just laughable.
Sucks- sorry to hear that- yeah it is ironic that the majority of the preowned watches are in the USA... Blowers is absurd- I've never found anything in the EU to be cheaper than the US watch wise once all is said and done. Maybe you'll have to take a trip over to the USA soon

Ah... but I have a feeling that Breitling and TAG both call them "calibre XXX" but simply use the basic ETA with a changed rotor.
I have no facts though... just guessing as neither brands rarely use inhouse movements anywhere.
True - if this is the original Chronomatic though- it appears the movement was developed by collaboration with Zenith, Breitling, et al - again, nothing "concrete" to back this up- just brief research- hopefully a true Breit expert will step in soon enough.
Btw By-Tor, an aside- has the SFSO gen deal gone through yet?

BT- That's what I thought too but it looks like it's either a Kalibre 11 or Kalibre 12 http://www.artoftime.ch/catalog/item/1318508/801648.htm

Hm... I still consider myself a noob but I'm amazed (as Logan said) at the quality that comes right out of an EMS package now-a-days.
My favorite rep was a TT Black & Gold sub from avira, maybe, with a gen bezel + insert, mbw case, gen crown, perfect aftermarket gen 14kt hollow midlink bracelet- wow- that watch was something... transitional with a plexi xtal
To all the gen forum spies reading this- I went through that "transformation" - I started with lower quality gens, moved to cheap reps, moved to expensive reps, moved to spending LOTS of money to mod reps to near perfection, moved to gens, and now I'm into gens in a BIG way. I gained a deep appreciation for several brands (UN, GP) that I would have never looked at had I not stumbled upon the wonderful info in this forum.
I remember Victoria and ttk and all that jazz but I also remember (along with the little post voting icons) "winning" my first year of what was then VIP membership from an anonymous donor (who I believe was Lani) in a thread where I wrote "What RWG means to me" and the membership voted using post icons/voting buttons... good times.

Is it Valjoux based or in-house? I'd love to see the micro rotor

Expensive 6497s imho but I do find the older models (the "simple" ones, as it were) to be well designed and quite functional, if absurdly overpriced.
I feel PAM is attempting to incorporate these "new" technologies to justify their prices and it's going to continue to stretch their brand... stick with what works!

Very nice. 21j movement I take it... how's it feel?

Superb! Nothing like those gen bracelets
