Ditto. I can add that Timeman is generally a very reliable seller. A bit on the pricey side, but a good guy who knows his stuff.
Agreed!

It'd have value (esp the box) to someone who purchased an Omega sans box

Jeeze people are dumb

Don't mind me...just popping the avatar in... idk if these tatas are rep or gen but I wouldn't mind doing this to them:

Hackensack... grossssssss. Nope, Boston born and bred (although working in southern CT now). RE: my incontinence - all I'm going to say is- you promised

Doesn't EVERYONE!?!?!?! Thanks so much for the info. Do you know if the see-thru back was ever genuine? Or is it a fantasy model?
Hey babe,
People do the see-thru caseback thing a lot with these- http://www.omega-addict.com/reviews/speedmaster/
and as seen here-http://forums.watchuseek.com/showthread.php?t=107
The Speedmaster Professional does come with a display back (since 1980)

That's Yuki, of course it's fake. At least he clearly states it is refinished. Shundi, come on now, you were kidding, right?
...Holy crap- totally didn't put the seller together with Yuki! I guess I need to do some more project Rollies
-
I thought that too- looks like the seller is saying the hands were refinished b/c he goes on to say that the lume doesn't glow due to the fact that it's vintage tritium... could be a sweet project dial though
-
I'm no expert but 178 doesn't seem bad... is it the real deal?
-
39mm case---------too small unless you are a girl!!!!!!!!!!!!
Disagree...the majority of Rolexes sold in the last 20 years have been below 39mm

Since they have the same relief & use the same tube, they should be interchangeable. Like the 703 & 704, The main difference appears to be the monobloc construction of the 531 (see charts).
Ah very interesting- had no idea! Those charts are a great resource- thanks!!!
-
Hi Freddy- great work!
Quick question- what's the difference between the -530 and the -531? Are they interchangeable? I'm thinking about my 1002 and the parts I rec'd...
Thanks!
-
Wow- that is terrible- thank God you and your family were ok and no one was harmed. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

I love these threads !
A few Sam Adams Winter Lagers, then I'll switch to some G+T's due to the unseasonably warm weather here in Connecticut!
-
Beautiful! I love those vintage rollies!

Well written and photographed- thanks!!

Hi Shundi,
Just curious, is that tropic 12 a dome, or a later flat top series?
Cheers,
JJ

I am glad to hear the crown/tube turned out to be NOS & usable. Turned out to be a good deal.
