  1. My GF also says thanks for this, she was getting quite paranoid that it was so tight ....

    My new PO

This is really growing on me now. When I first got it I still preferred my SMP but now this one is becoming my favourite. It is interesting how a watch in the flesh differs from one in a photo, it still looks the same but has a different "feel" in the flesh.
  3. If you relax your brands to include Tag then both the Tag Link Chrono and the Aquaracer are supposedly fantastic (still waiting patiently for my Link Chrono). I also love the Breitling Chronomat Evolution and the new Blackbird (although on the last one I am waiting for the pearl centreing issue to get fixed).
  4. My new arrival
  5. Yes we read your review before buying. It does fit it's just a little tight, comment is that it would be much more comfortable with another link or two.
  6. Military time I can see as I prefer that myself. Metric is interesting, growing up in the UK I seem to have picked up the ability to mostly work in metric or imperial with two exceptions. Kilometres and Centrigrade still confuse the hell out of me and I have to convert from miles or Fahrenheit.
  7. I'm gradually falling in love with the Blackbird. Only thing putting me off is the off centre-pearl although this one looks better. The inserts at the cardinal point on this also seems to be better fitting on this one than others I've seen.

    My new PO

Yes it's the 42mm my wrists are a little over 6" so I think a 45mm might look a bit big.
  9. My GF fell in love with the Woman's Tag Link on Silix's site. When it arrived the initial excitement has subsided a little, the watch itself is great but the bracelet is very small (ok and she has bigger wrists than me!). Looks like I am going to see if Silix can get me another link or two to extend the strap. Anyway a quick photo, I'll try and get some on wrist shots when it fits her !

    My new PO

After a few weeks of wearing my one and only replica (SMP) my new PO has been delivered from Silix. I chose a leather strap which looks great. I was surprised how retro the watch looks in the flesh, this seems to be a combination of the orange and the leather strap. The other thing that strikes me is the lume is fantastic (compared to me SMP at least). The bezel is very slightly loose but not enough to worry me. Overall I'm very impressed by my second rep, a couple of early photos.
  11. Fascinating article.
  12. PO should land on my wrist this week, but until then I am still wearing thi:
  13. Me neither, I always type paypal, ebay, online banking etc rather than click links.
  14. Since I discovered RWG and similar forums I've been trying to get a sense of scale of the Rep Industry. I've done some searching around and I haven't come up with anything. Apologies if this kind of question comes up alot but it's hard to think of search terms to try. This kind of thing could also be considered sensitive so I guess answers might not be forthcoming. How big is the rep industry? It's kind of a hard question answer because the standard metrics are probably very hard to get hold of but I thought I'd ask anyway. For a really popular rep like the SFSO I'd guess there may be many more reps in the wild than gens but does anyone have any data to support that view? For less popular reps I can imagine that only a few are sold which makes you question the economics of producing some models. Another way to look at this is considering the size of the customer-base. RWG, RWI, Watch-Geek etc represent a fairly small number of peopler and I find it hard to see how they are sustaining the industry so there must be some much bigger numbers out there. Who and where are these people? Kind of a rambling post but I hope my question(s) come out ok.
  15. They'd be nice as reps but I don't like them enough to buy the real thing.
  16. Looks good but I think I am going to pull the trigger on a Graphite BCE instead. Maybe they'll get the pearl closer to the centre in a later revision on the blackbird (or maybe it's just a case of finding an example with better centreing).
  17. Now those have to go onto my want list
  18. My Tag Link Chrono failed the QC so I am still wearing this
  19. Really looking forwards to seeing these. This will be the first rep blackbird photos "in the wild" I think unless I have missed some.
  20. My Tag Link Chrono failed it's QC check with PT so I am still wearing this for the foreseeable:
  21. New toys should be here soon, but still wearing this for now.
  22. Now we need to find her reply auctions
  23. I ordered one of these from Silix last week for my other half.
  24. Great review thanks. This watch is on my "trying to resist the urge to buy" list and your review has given me some good info.
  25. It's a straight choice between this and the chronomat evolution and this for me. I'm not sure the accuracy of the pushers would bother me but a misaligned date on a bigdate sure as hell would!
