What a fantastic series of posts, thanks!

Because your boss or client might be in the airport and see your lewd behavior? Because you might be left too physically stimulated and embarrass yourself on a crowded plane? Because you should never look at it, it's evil like your mom told you? (more far fetched) Because all the blood will rush to your nether regions, you will have shortness of breath, and then you'll get on a plane that is only pressurized to 10K ft. Maybe you'll pass out? OK I don't know, I hope you'll share the answer!

Cartier Roadster Chronograph with Asian 7750 28,800

Gorgeous Seatimer, what did you think of the quality of the rep? I've been looking at that one for a while, mostly concerned with the quality of the bracelet. Also, fantastic background in that pic -
So I thought I was doing something nice for my wife...
smilingbear replied to a topic in General Discussion
Hmm, I take it that she wouldn't have been satisfied with a replica . . . Well, everyone has different priorities . . . I've always wondered why a woman wouldn't be satisfied with a lab-created diamond too, but most I ask are against it (except for a few who prefer it because they object to the diamond trade in general). The engineer in me thinks "but wouldn't a lab created diamond be 100% ideal? Nature can't create perfection the same way that science can." Sorry, got off topic there -
I also think that the ads make the board not work safe - I would not be comfortable browsing where my boss or a client could see this. This might result in a bit less posting and browsing from me, and if that happens to everyone it could reduce the activeness of the community, which is a minus.

Awesome, I'd love to see reviews of the two watches (with pictures, please!) when you get them. Been thinking about the Railmaster myself . . .

What's funny is that the Panerai "official" definition of PVD is the same almost word-for-word as Wikipedia. I wonder who stole the definition from who . . .

Good idea, by the way, what is stopping us from setting up the RWiki section and having the answers to questions like this permanently in there? I don't know the full details, but here's what I learned in a few minutes Physical Vapor Deopsition From Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Physical_vapor_deposition Physical vapor deposition (PVD) is a technique used to deposit thin films one atom (or molecule) at a time onto various surfaces (e.g., onto semiconductor wafers). The coating source is physical (ie. solid or liquid) rather than chemical as in chemical vapor deposition. The term physical vapor deposition appears originally in the 1966 book

:cc_confused: I see a lot of posts that mention VIP membership, but very few posts that describe the details of VIP membership. The only "official" word is to contact a member of the admin team for details. There are a lot of posts that state cryptically "Upgrade to VIP membership and all will be revealed." That's pretty vague! We need a sticky post that describes VIP membership and why you should get it. Details should include what you get for VIP membership (posting access in the sales forum, access to dealer info, etc.), what it costs to get VIP membership ($XX/year), and how to go about getting it. I think that if you made it easier to get details on VIP membership then more of the new members would upgrade. More VIP members will mean more money to support the forum, more active participants (if you put money into it, you'll use it more), and as a result a better community. Right now it's hard to justify! So, can one of the admins please expound on VIP membership a bit and put it in a sticky/pinned post? Thanks so much, - from all the noobs

Keyhole Mod "Stealth" PVD 111 on custom "allbut6" strap

Gorgeous lume again, but this one looks a bit "goth" with the full black getup. Maybe that's the look you were going for! -

Love that gorgeous lume, how hard was that to do? -
Hamilton watches are fantastic, and have fantastic build quality. You can find some reasonable deals at amazon.com and PMWF. My watch obsession started with a quality Hamilton automatic, now I'm aching for a PAM!

Great feature, we could even use it to find members who may be in the same region and potentially meet up for lunch some day!

Great idea vlydog, maybe if we get a list of other interests we can start leveraging the member base for ideas on other topics. You can expect to get some PMs from me regarding wines on my next trip to Italy! My interests include: Watches (obviously) Sports cars Women Investing Motorcycles Travel (I have a job where I travel every week) Weight lifting (I've always been skinny, looking to bulk up) Hmm, can you tell that I'm not married?! Most of these interests don't match up with the interests of the opposite sex too well . . .

Anyone else having problems with "view new posts"?
smilingbear replied to P4GTR's topic in Introduction/Rules/Support
Same problem here -
Best reason to watch the series . . . Actually the new Battlestar Galactica is pretty fantastic, if you like well-written stores and are a fan of science fiction, you should check it out.

You're going to have to give us more to go on than just a price range! You have a HUGE selection at $75K, from Porsche to Mustang (as you mentioned). If you're willing to consider used vehicles as well then you can have almost any car you want. Here are a few suggestions, and some eye-candy: If you love Bavarian handling: BMW 6-series If you are pro-American: Cadillac XLR British luxury: Jag XK If you're willing to buy a used one: Porsche 911 If you're a bit quirky: Lotus Elise There are many more options, but this is a pretty fun thought exercise!

I also have a lot to read - just to help, I've found Edge's Guide to Replica Forums http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=6252&hl= to be very helpful. Cheers, happy reading.

This seems like a fantastic resource, I've been devouring the content here for the past week, figured I'd introduce myself! I got the watch bug about 1.5 years ago, and spent a long time determining which genuine watch I would get. Finally ended up with a Hamilton automatic that I love, and now I can't stop looking at watches. I've looked at plenty of ADs and there are so many watches I'd love to have that if I got all genuines I'd be totally broke. I don't have any reps yet but that probably won't last long. Been looking at a lot of things, but my main concern is the fit and finish of the watches - especially the bracelets. Nothing ruins a watch (incl. gens) for me more than a cheap feeling bracelet. Quick question, if I want to talk about a specific watch, is it OK to embed photos from the seller's sites? Or is it not politically correct to link to other people's pictures? Oh well I'll give it a try: I'm seriously considering the Pasha Seatimer with the black rubber coated bracelet - I have played with the Gen but I'm wondering if the Rep will be any good. Any experience with the rubber coated band? Thanks all
