Hi, I got my beginmariner with asian 2813 copy movement in it today, and for 118 USD shipped it looks great! The band is all that it's cracked up to be, the points on the crown are sharp as can be, and the dial looks perfect. The only things I have to complain about are that the crown tube seems to be not screwed all the way in so the crown isn't flush with the case, the band is noisy, and the rotor spins like a freakin banshee. I'm going to mess around with the crown when I'm done posting this, but does anyone have any idea how to tighten that rotor or something? When I just turn my wrist that thing whizzes around like crazy. It only winds while rotating in 1 direction too. Using the highly technical method of "counting" I count about 8 ticks per second, it really doesnt appear to be 6, so it's just as advertised as 28,800 bph. Super smooth. Now, for the fun stuff. I have another caseback that has a different depth to it, I'm wondering which one is more accurate to the original sub. I also have gen crown, but my carpet ate the tube for that and it seems to be bent anyway. I'm thinking of purchasing a gen bezel insert, and I'm also pondering doing something about the band, as this one is very noisy and sharp around the edges. I really like the finish on this noob watch, so I would hate to lose that, but damn is that thing loud! Heres some pics and short descriptions of this baby and its (maybe) future parts. Ahhh yes stem misalignment. I had that once. At about 3 0'clock the hands were almost touching the crystal and 9 almost bottoming out. I'm sorry, but I'll pass on those for now, I need a nice thin one. Thanks though I forget what those look like, open 6's + 9's? Maybe for my DJ. Do you have a pic avail? PM me and I'll shoot you an offer. Side note, I heard of people making stickers, but I imagine they look like what they are. I guess while I'm trying to source some of these, I'll be trying to make one with my constant tinkering.

So thats the replacement DJ datwheel modded to be an overlay? isn't it too thick?

I know some parts of the 2836 are compatible with the 2824, like the keyless works and stem but not the date disc for instance. What is the 2834 exactly? And now that I think of it, which model has the day disc, the 2836 or 2836-2? Or is it both just as an added feature? Can I add it myself? Now, how about those sellita movements that will be replacing eta? I hear that they're good, anyone know of a source yet? ofrei.com doesn't have them and either does cousins or ebay.

Hey guys, where can I buy some datewheel overlays of different styles to stick on the eta datewheel? I have on with open 6's and 9's and I want some spares. Does any site or dealer sell them outright?

He got sued so it is no longer made. Note the second hand subdial....the orig did not have it, and the one on ebay doesn't either and actually looks closer to the original. Hmmm Still thinking about it. He told me 155 shipped buy it now.....

Hey guys, maybe some of you saw me on the old site, I know I've seen some of you. I was over there talking about a DJ project, and I recently posted pics of something I slapped together for the heck of it. Now, its back to the frankenjust and this site seems to be the one with all the info. I'm going to search around, but I have some Q's maybe someone can give me a quick answer or pointer to whilst I sift thru everything. What is best for 16014, I've heard 2836 and 2824. I have both, it seems that the stem lines up better with the 2836? According to the massive amount of info I gleaned from Ubi on the old site, 2836 for 16234 and 16013-14, then on here you say 2824 for 014 case......Just looking for clarification, I think I'll be slapping that 2836 in there soon. My dial for the DJ should be in the mail, a MOP with silver roman numerals...aftermarket though. I had a diamond MOP but I sold it due to lack of liking it It was pinkish. The next one is blue, and after I feel like it I'll spring for a white or whatever MOP diamond dial when I get tired of not having a bejeweled watch. I'll be posting progress pics, in the mean time, here is a couple pics of my last one, it took an hour or so, I took it apart already in anticipation of the new parts coming. BTW this is basically a fantasy watch. Extra points for those who point out why. Gen case and dial, AM band
