Just spoke to my dealer. It does affect the dealers' a little bit, but only in terms of speed of delivery. It will take more time to get the watches shipped out. Probably because the factory dealers are not spread across different places.

Concord or Concord Rosegold

Hi Turbox7,
I have had 2 of those in my hands, and have to say, the rep lume is just the standard rep lume like other standard Breitling replica's with A7750. The lume won't too expensive I guess. just a few dots on the dial, the hour and minute hand and the chrono sec. hand. Will be around 100-120 usd I estimate.
Very much worth while and you will have a super rep.

You can read the review of my old Asian 21J GMT and compare the pictures.
Personally: I think the preowned SMP's are too cheap to go through all this trouble. I just saw a gen full size quartz sold at $595. Get the quartz gen and throw in a high beat automatic movement. I dunno if it's possible but at least it'd make much more sense than investing $500 - $600 to mods of replica(s).
My 2c.
That is exactly the reason why I won't mod my SMP Bond, because by further modding it going over 500usd would be useless since the genuine is not so much more expensive.

I would let this movement have a complete service. This movement won't be so expensive to service as an A7750. For around

first you could try to ship it to your address with tracking, but without your REAL name. If it gets seized just ignore letters or claim that you don't know anything about it.
-
pick a reference point underneath the lever, so you know how much you have to push the lever.
And.. use a loop.
-
I might add that you should also pull out the crown to the time setting position so that the movement stops running. To prevent that you stick the toothpick of small screwdriver in the running movement by accident.

The AR on the gen is not so blue as on the rep.
So on dark rep dials the AR is very obvious. There fore I liked the light colored dials better, for example the champagne.
-
Don't have pics here to post, but i have seen up close all Portofino repeplica's: the black, the champagne, the gold dial and the white dial.
What I can say is that the black dial I certainly don't like. Because the blue color of the AR is a little bit too blue. Making the black dial look VERY BLUE from most angles. Even up close. If you really want black, then I would strongly suggest to remove the AR and get AR from Chief.
The gold dial I did not like. Looks way old fashioned.
The Champagne dial looks very classic.
I would prefer the white dial. Also with the blue-ish AR, this looks really young and modern, but still the IWC classic look.
Just my 2 cents

How come the lume is Blue? I thought the genuine 177H Ti has C1 in green lume...
Nice crown and CG mod though. the crown is nice and tight to the case, unlike the standard rep 177H Ti.

I remember the diameter is a little bit more than 37mm. but NOT 40MM.

Excelllent!
speedy Blackberry communications from J! Welcome??? Already enjoying his work on a weekly basis for some watches!!! He made my PAM177H and an Omega Seamaster perfect. Can't wait for the next excellent mods!!

Zig! Thanks again for a great review.
Even thought the AP ROO second @ 12 have had some problems with some members, now thanks to your review we know that a proper service (which all A7750 benefit from) will make this movement just as reliable as the other A7750 and 7750 with seconds @ 3 and 9.
We will buy the ROO with some more confidence now. At least, I will THANKS!
Greetings from the town where you also spent some time in the Airforce.
Cheers!

Do these reps tick loud? My PAM 111 rep is pretty loud...
Is that still about the same subject? The ticking pam111 came out of the blue...
But anywayzz...., some A6497-2/ ETA 6497-2 make more noise than the other. My PAM177 with Asian Swan Neck 6497-2 made a lot of noice. I let it get a full service from my watch smith (ultrasonic cleaning, oiling, adjusting etc) for around

With all due respect, I would not advice to mod these watches. They are the cheapest versions of reps and any real modifications will be more expensive than the price of the watch itself. And will never work, because a lot of parts are way off, f.i. the crown guards and the crown...
If you are really looking for a more 1:1 Panerai, then you could start with one of the PAM watches from the trusted dealers on the board. F.i. trustytime/Andrew.
Have fun on RWG. And be careful... before you know it, you are hooked and you will spend hours and hours of time on the board.
Cheers!

Looks stunning, but does the original also have AR?
-
hehe, seems you guys have a ticket to panerai service senter parts
Probebly he needed to buy a genuine watch first to make the AD order those nice parts...
-
Sorry you are right Sander. I got it mixed up. All I could remember for sure was that there are both versions out there.
Here's a few old lume shots from when I first got the watch (and before I got my SLR and knew how to take pictures)
Great watch, nice work The Zigmeister has done.
to make it realy superb, an AR job on the sapphire is really needed. To make The Zigmeister's work stand out even more. And to give it a 'true' gen feeling.

does anyone had buy the new version of 29jewels rolex daytnd
is good movemenet
photos
Movement is good, modification of seconds @ 6 suck. You could always give it a full service when it fails (costly), try to have the plate treated with graphite or freeze the seconds @ 6 by removing a gear.

Hi Omega,
nice watch, nice modifications. I did all the same mods like you did, having the same model, except for the rotor modification.
My next mod will be to superlume the hands.
And I will change the strap to the strap of the Ice Bang, giving this watch a more smooth & abstract look.
Enjoy yours! (i will do mine, that's for sure!!! )

Happy with both my Hublot Ceramic and GMT Master 2 ceramic. No complaints, scratches etc.

it is possible to re-attach the seconds hand. Most likely it is not broken and you can just push it back onto its place using a small piece of post-it and a tooth pick. use the search button to find post on how to do that.
Also you need to get the crown stem out of the movement. Again... search button.
With the cheap asian auto it could be a little bit of a diffucult sometimes with the keyless works. I had one once and it took me a very very long time to get it in again. And when i got it out it messed up the keyless work, having to get the dial and hands off first to correct it. Hopefully yours will work better.
changing the the mineral glass to a sapphire does not have to be very easy. It could be that this case is different than the case used for the 6497-2 movements, making the fit of another crystal difficult.
And indeed, another strap makes it look A LOT better. Most leather panerai rep straps are just not good, including the buckle. They look fake.

How is the sweeping seconds @ 6 now? Is it more smooth than before the mods or is it still a bit 'jumpy' going around the 60 seconds subdial @ 6?
Btw, an awesome watch you made of it!
Lumer Needed.. Help Please!

Big chance The Zigmeister will be busy for coming months. You can try Vaclume. He is also very good. Done several watches for me. The Zigmeister did my PAM253 also great. In 2 weeks I will send some hands and dials again to Vac for relume.
Talking about the PAM253, I have one fully modded (relume & service by The Zigmeister, double AR on mineral by Jakub/K222) for sale. See my topics or see the sales department on this board.
