  1. Hi Guys,

So i got 2 of the new model PAM308 (Luminor Regatta) manual wind with the Seagull ST 19 / copy Venus 175 movement. The movement is ok.

But... both watches have a broken crown stem, just after 1 day. I was wondering if anyone of the other members also have this problem, or that is is just me.

Maybe a problem with the lever, or that the stem is too long, or???

Hope someone has an answer on this big disappointment of the week....

    Cheers,

    J.

  2. Guys, this will be not an add for Sinowatches, but just a review of my dealings with him.

But... I have nothing but good about him. I am buying more than 15 months with sinowatches and up to now i am extremely happy with him. I bought more watches from him than most members of this board will ever buy. And i am not talking about 15 or so. Think bigger.

We have to remember that these things are reps and have and will have their problems. It is the way the dealer takes care of problems within reasonableness. Sinowatches offers guaranteed shipping, also when it gets seezed in customs. He also offers higher discount when you give up this kind of insurance.

His English is perfect, not the Chinglish like many Chinese dealers. And he is a gentleman. Always takes care of the problem if any, ships replacement if there is a problem after the watch arrives and also repairs the watch at the factory when i send some back for repair. I pay for the shipment back to China, to me that is reasonable, since I choose to buy from so far away. But on his website he offers to pay for it. I just want it my way.

Compared to Andrew, when I had a parcel seized by customs he let me pay again for shipping. In some cases I heard he asked also a small amount for the watches to be resent. With Sinowatches this never happened. A deal is a deal.

Communication is perfect and accurate. Maybe not as fast email reply as Andrew, but then I know he is working himself at getting his customers the watches and not dropshipping. He checks all watches personally before shipped out. In my opinion i can make better agreements with Sinowatches than with other dealers.. Just a more trustable feeling, which i got after so long buying from him. Also, he is in my msn messenger list and his telephone is on his website. That is something else than most dealers who you cannot call.

And as I have never met him in person, the way we communicate, i can almost call him a friend. But of course it is still business first.

By the way, i pay with direct bank transfer. Not by credit card or paypal.

But I understand that when you buy just 1 or 2 watches the fees of WU or bank wire will be high I guess..

  4. Just my two cents. The accusatory tone in pieter931's posting makes me wonder if he could maybe linked to sinowatches in some way ... Cartel ... my ass ... with probably 90% of replica review sites being owned by scammers and tricksters, this place here along with RG, RWI and maybe one or two others is one of the VERY few places where you can get real and unpartisan info. Reading posts like this really ticks me off...

accusatory tone? Who is accusing who Watchman???

  5. OK,

Just to round it all up...

We're all waiting for a sign from Jacub Jablonsky here... who has given us an adress to send our watches or crystals to. We also filled out some kind of form with our home adress (to return the watch to) .

Some people (members or "friends" of members..) who have met him say that this (collecting) adress is not the place where he lives.

Another (polish) member has called his landline number and got in contact with his .. "mother" ? Member promised to call again after a few days.., no reply anymore...

Someone else says he's talked to Jacub Jablonsky and found out he has some serious problems "that would not go away for some time"... (but did'nt mention the kind of troubles..)....

Recently he replied to some members mentioning that he will send things back, but did anyone replied that things have indeed been send back ? .

If i'm not mistaken, one gen and some crystals should have been sent back ?.. , but this has not been documented any further... nothing else... Very confusing and.. indeed ... no further reply's, everyone just waiting... ("buying time" ??).

All this "mist" and "mystery".. leads me to some (hopefully wrong) "suppositions":

    1) This is a super scam with one or more than one person involved. If that's the case, the watch or crystal is even of lesser interest, the worrying fact is that he (they) are in possession of all our home or business adresses. All my watches are kept in a bank safe, but that might not be the case with everyone....

    2) Mr. Jablonsky is an honest guy but got caught by the law (because of receiving and sending an amount of reps) , got an interdiction to communicate with anyone involved with reps (and thus also this forum) for the time being.. and they monitor all email correspondence (that's usual police practice) and he keeps to it... (which would eventually explain why only a gen could have been sent back to its owner)

    3) Mr Jablonsky really [censored]ed things up and hides just because he cannot re-imburse for the losses....

    4) Mr Jablonsky got into deep depression and lost all interest...

The only thing i can hope for is that we can forget about supposition 1, but as time passes....

    Any thoughts (or good/bad news ) ?

    Best regards,

    Lewis.

That pretty much sums it up. He contacted me 2 weeks ago and that the stuff was ready and would be shipped out. Nothing heared or seen since then.

  6. Are the letters that compose the 'ORIGINAL GAS ESCAPE VALVE -- RING LOCK SYSTEM' inscription around the rehaut spaced too far apart?

Congratulations on getting your........er, heavy water device. This is definitely not a watch for the meek (or weak-kneed). I remain of 2-minds on this 1. :weight_lift2:

Also think it is toooo big. But a nice watch to wear to the pool or to the beach for 'diving'. Hopefully it can take at least up to 7bar. hehe

  7. ================

    exactly, triplehd....

one e-mail to the Admin, where he explains his situation. guess thats to much asked for.

lets assume he has no bad intentions...no matter how depressed somebody is...there is a few minutes to explain and send a mail. ONE MAIL !!

no reply to the customer in germany that send watch and money to him.

propably the best thing to do....is kissing your stuff goodbye.....then you can only get a positive surprise...if anything shows up in the future.

Do they kiss watches in Germany? ;)

I would only kiss a gen..

  8. Just wondering how durable this movement is??

Will i have to have it serviced????

    Thanks everyone for your help.

It is durable, but the parts are less smooth than ETA. If you want to take the best care of the clone movement, let it service already after you just bought it. Because there is a realistic chance that it is a bit dirty, not properly oiled and that certain parts are not properly installed.

the 2836-2 is very cheap to service.

  9. The sad part is that if he has some kind of problem it could have been easily worked out. I think if it were a dire situation, most would have been happy to pay postage simply to get their parts an watches back. We all know how difficult it is to source rep parts, especially crystals, so he has left a lot of people out to dry by doing this. Say what you want about him and your past experiences with him, but in the end he is still an [censored] and he deserves everything that is coming to him.

    Any new updates?

WHAT HAPPENED TO RULE NUMBER 8?

Well in any case, if something really happened and he got extremely depressed by it, I understand his actions. Not saying it is ok what he did, don't get me wrong. At least he already sent some emails to people last week so he is not completely hiding...

further, i did not get any more emails from him. I will wait for 1-2 weeks.

  10. GUYS!! i MAY have some good news...

Today Jakub contacted me by email. apologizing for the late response and telling me that the work was done and probably will be sent this week. A bit weird that he contacts by email, but not a small message on this board, but the hope is not gone and will keep you updated...

I have to say that I always have had very good dealings with J.

  11. I'm still finding this whole episode hard to believe as my dealing with Jacob was very professional and he came across as a great guy.

Looks like he fooled us all and played it very cool right to the end and I'm really feeling for everyone that has their watches with him..And there is a lot of watches.

I'm hoping for a happy outcome for everyone now that sql_pl has made contact with his family..Hopefully his mother will smack him around the ears and knock some sense into him.

yes, same here. Always very professional dealings. Even once he offered by himself to give me a refund, after I noticed that his watch smith bended some of the hands with the removal/attaching of the crystal to the case. Of course i declined his offer, since i was so in awe with his good service and perfect coating i was enjoying every day...

So still I believe that maybe he has some financial problems or something else.

By the end of August he wrote me that he was away from his place because he worked far away from it and also worked a lot and that the whole process would take around 6 weeks (where normally around 4 weeks)...

This could also explain the lack of communication.

So if he is always away, the address where we send to is not his own, is my assumption.

And does he really uses a watch smith? i would do it all by myself, with a crystal press etc. It would save him lots of money and also the extra effort of dealing with the watch smith. What do you guys think..?

  12. I called him today.

Cellphone is off as usual but I managed to get through using landline number.

I spoke with a lady who seemed to be his mother. She said she cannot really contact him either as his phone is switched off all the time. I explained the whole situation with a lot of outstanding orders and money in his pocket that actually ruin his and Polish reputation - I felt she was not really aware of all this. I also mentioned family problems and that we are sorry just to check and to my surprise she did not say a word about that - like it never actually happened. Did not really ask her directly so we cannot be sure but after that phone call I wonder if there was any "death in the family" at all.

Anyway she felt like she started to worry and wrote down my name and number (which Kuba had for a long time) and promised to tell him to contact me as soon as she gets in touch with him - she said he should be visiting her in a couple of days.

    We will see.

    MUCH APPRECIATED! THANKS.

  13. Thanks, and what do you think about the Asian 2824-2 copy? Is it compatible with the real ETA one? Cause the watch want to order is available with two movements: The ETA 2836-2 and the A2824-2... I really wanna put a gen 2824-2 in the watch!

So back to the question: do you know how precise these movts are replicated?

    Thanks, waiting for your answer!

    Greetz.

Most original ETA parts are interchangeble with the Asian clone. Done this before with my watch smith. IMO just give the clone a complete full service might be better. the quality of the clone is a little more rough than the real ETA but quite well actually after a full service. cheaper and a lot less trouble..

  15. How about just the 'old fashioned' watch smith?

i had a scratch on a PAM. went to my local watch smith who works on reps. He got it out very easily and has several tools to get it out. He uses a few, first for the rough part then some other for finishing the brushed steel.

i would advice this specially if the scratch is quite deep.

  16. Dear Friend:

Gen did have the "C1" marking. :)

    Best Regards,

    Raymond

    Hi Raymond,

okay, thanks for letting me know. I searched a bit around and could not find any pictures with the C1 on the crown. But thought it was odd that the replica maker would have done that wrong.

The C1 on the crown, is that an older/previous version of the Concord C1?

    cheers,

    Hooky
