He (my watch smith) charged me nothing and it was done in 5 minutes...

How about just the 'old fashioned' watch smith? i had a scratch on a PAM. went to my local watch smith who works on reps. He got it out very easily and has several tools to get it out. He uses a few, first for the rough part then some other for finishing the brushed steel. i would advice this specially if the scratch is quite deep.

Hi Raymond, okay, thanks for letting me know. I searched a bit around and could not find any pictures with the C1 on the crown. But thought it was odd that the replica maker would have done that wrong. The C1 on the crown, is that an older/previous version of the Concord C1? cheers, Hooky

How come the rep has 'C1' on the rubber crown and the genuine seems to have no marking at all....?
-
On the Gen I saw no 'C1' marking on the rubber of the crown. On the rep the crown has a rubber marking with 'C1'. anyone knows how come?

Would you consider a steel PAM bracelet for a change? -
About "swan neck, working regulator": use the search engine on this forum. The version with swanneck is more 1:1 with the original. The version without swanneck probebly also has blue stickers with 'Officine Panerai' on the backside of the movement. The version with swan neck in engraved. = better/more 1:1. Maybe you can ask how much for the Asia Swanneck with SAPPHIRE. not on his site, but maybe he can arrange it. or send extra sapphire for 30usd along. worth the investment.

Air Mail indeed. Most times will be there within 1-2 weeks. Last week I sent a parcel to Vaccum. Took less than a week... On the Customs form i always use a value of around 20euro. And description something like 'broken fashion accessories for repair'. even if you sell the watch to someone in the USA, I would advice to use this kind of description on the parcel. cheers! Hooky

A lot of people who could afford a gen, are buying and wearing reps. Driving expensive cars, wearing reps. Specially for them, the high end replica is the perfect bluff... Nodody would expect it, same as you did not. Just imagine how many people... Cheers, J.

Seconds at 12? U wear your rep upside down?

There is no 37mm on their website. Maybe the 38mm is big enough so that it can still be worked at to make it a 37mm. will check it out coming weeks. But i will also give them a call next week. cheers, J.

Yup, going crazy after the second crystal already cracked after just 8 months of having this watch. And I invested also in this watch. Relume and movement service from The Zigmeister, expensive leather strap, AR from Jakub. So much willing to pay for a good piece of crystal for this great watch. On Ofrei there is also domed sapphire, 1,5mm think, diameter 38mm. 45usd. I think i will buy that as well and see if a supplier of my watch smith can make it fit to the PAM253 case. Little project....
-
ok, will buy both crystals then. thanks!! If i could find a 37mm sapphire, even a flat one instead of domed, i would directly buy it...
-
yes, this one will surely be worth the try. they are 1 mm thick. but the BIG question. will they as easily break as the other crystal? i.e. are the glasses cracking because of the case of because of poorly made replica glasses? cheers, J.
-
I have the PAM253, same type of crystal I assume. I also asked at my watch smith, but he could not supply one in mineral or sapphire. --> i was thinking to put a flat sapphire crystal on, if available. Maybe anyone has ideas? what do you think? also at Ofrei?

Hi! could anyone help me to find the case number of the Replica Omega Seamaster 2531? I thinking to buy the genuine Omega crystal on Ofrei. My watch smith took out the sapphire glass, because i wanted Jakub do his magic on the crystal. My watch smith told me he got the crystal out WAY too easy and adviced me to get a slightly bigger crystal. does anyone of you guys have an idea? Cheers, J.
-
Andrew is a smart guy. I bet he can supply it when you order 1 or 2 watches. Don't forget he needs the sapphire for the Swiss ETA watches. He bought lots of Ti cases. Or offer him a good price (+80usd) for it. Try it. Good luck.

Trusty. the sapphire was without AR. But Jakub has the best AR, so that was fine anyways..

Completely true, about those gorgeous movement. I had my Asian PAM177H have a complete modification, done by VACCUM. The old movement made lots of noice, which was to me a huge spoiler. everywhere where you sit, worked, etc, you could here the loud ticking of the movement. Als the movement had on the back ugly blue stickers with 'Panerai ..' The new asian movement with swan neck made a lot less noice. NICE!! and the engraved inscriptions on the back are superb!. no stickers. really great.. Go for it! Cheers, J.

The AR on the blue mineral glass is WAY too blue. better ask the seller a extra single sapphire glass for around 40usd. As i did. And let K2222 treat it with AR. Looks 10 times better for sure! And get better strap after you bought it, because the standard strap & buckle just s*cks...

Won't be necessary... We will just be looking for that great colored BMW. hehe....

Great collection Manitou!

Who sells PAM253 with sans serif subdial font?
hooky replied to Timepiece's topic in The Panerai Area
So i just replied in this topic some days ago. about the quality of the PAM253 which sucks. Not the looks, because that is the best! Like if the Devil was playing with it. Today i was sitting in the sun, 28 degrees Celsius, enjoying a drink. And BAMM.... pling pling... the glass just went of half a meter. The second time. Now i really have had it with this watch..... I am a small reseller and i must have changed the glass for this model at least 6 times already!!!! And for my own watch, this is the 2nd time in just HALF a year. And i NEVER ever bumped my big PAM253 against any object... This sucks.. I did a relume, i did a complete The Zigmeister service of the movement and now i have a watch case which makes the glass pop out every couple of months..... You still want the PAM253?? -

it has not sapphire, but mineral. It is common known that the glasses crack a lot. And i mean a lot, not just once in a while. As a small reseller i can know.. If you want to go for long term and even do modifications, better directly buy an extra case with glass, or just the extra glass. The rubber replica strap kinda sucks. Very sticky and attracts a lot of dust and dirt. Besides all that, it is a great watch. I have a modded one. Movement serviced, new lume, mineral ar coated. But still not been able to get the sapphire. Cheers, J. -
common problem with the 1950 pam127 and also pam253. new case with glass will cost around below 50usd from a dealer. good luck.
