HI the rep is not close to the gen in my opinion, having owned 3 Gen, 2 white, 1 black I would go fo the gen all the time.Its a great watch and very understated. The dials are never right, the GMT function , hand set is wrong and the bezel markers are not right. Also the rehaut depth is never correct. All these things make up an average rep. regards TomH

I can freeze the seconds at 6 only. It normally works , but as we all know its never guaranteed. But I have had good results thus far. I can also repair 7750`s ETA Or Asian ;-) Regards TomH

I am here guys , I had to take a week off to re-couperate but I will answer all emails tommorrow with status reports. Yes my workload has been extremely high and I will provide timescales on all work in process. I havnt been around for almost 2 weeks but am up to full speed I hope as of tommorrow. Just seen Gary Glitter ...

We have 5 networks in UK ,Vodafone , o2 , Orange , Virgin and T-Mobile . the phones work on Orange and Virgin , I havn`t tried T-Mobile. I think they are blocked by Vodaphone :-( I have tried Pay as you go sim cards from both Voda and O2 and none of them work . I think they have been blocked at the network end , maybe like they block stolen phones? but Im no expert on this! TomH

Anybody in Uk bought one of these Ascent Ti models. So far they dont work on O2 or Vodaphone. When you put a voda Sim in the unit it does come up "Voda" on the screen but thats as far as it goes If you try to call the phone its continually engaged or unobtainable if you dial out. I spoke to a Mobile phone guy who is very knowledgeable and he says the phone has been blocked by Vodaphone and may also be blocked by other operators!!? So far it only works on Orange and Virgin. Not trying to ruin anybodys market here but Id like to get this blasted thing working!!! TomH

I know its early days but is there any after sales backup on these? Do they use a standard board etc so they can be serviced if they go kaput!!?? TomH

I dont think it will be too long before the MilgaussGv model is available from most of the dealers . Although looking at the example on Honpo I dont know for the life of me why they have stamped the case with a K-serial number and stuck a datejust sticker on the case back !! ALso the writing on the underside is wrong!! Shame.. TomH

All this drivel for a $300 watch ,, if it leaks and worse case the movement gets a little rusty go get it serviced , cleaned , or buy another 2824 for $60 and have it fitted. I mean all this macho stuff about Surf boards spear fishing and deep sea diving...... Come on folks ,, most of us dont like to get our hair wet!!! Who are you all trying to kid?? Stand by with the hairdryer.... TomH
