  1. Rock on TWP. Your post is great. I'd be happy with the offer you gave if it was me with the bad watch.

As for the OP, why all the secrecy? You should have emailed TWP first before posting here. You posted but then wouldn't say who it was. TWP took the bull by the horns and came right out and said it was him. This should have been posted as a last resort.

  2. I'm seriously starting to wonder if DSN wants to sell reps any longer. I've bought SIX from him and I have to practically beat him over the head to get a response via PM or email. The last two took 4 emails and 2 PM's along with a PM from another member before he responded. For the last order he also promised a tracking number, never sent it. I got the watches ok. I emailed him saying they are great and now I'd like a fiddy. No response again. I love his stuff and I'd like to buy a 127, 183 and 210 from him but not if I have to play this game every single time.

I differ on your opinion about repeat customers treated well. If this is well, I'd hate to see how new customers are treated.

  3. The photos are getting better, today I got the tripod out. I still need some diffused lighting. It's on the xmas list. Enjoy!

  4. The guy that posted it is actually a well known Paneristi. The problem is that it's his friends watch. I bet his friend tried to tell him it was gen so the Panerisiti posted pics trying to figure it out. Still, just as bad. His friend should have owned up.

  5. Although The Zigmeister wrote that removing the hands was an issue, his major problems came during reassembly of the watch...ajoesmith will face the same issues.

Hopefully, this is not an endemic problem, and was just a quality issue on The Zigmeister's example...ajoe should be able to provide more input.

He'll jump in this thread, I'm sure. He did have 2 already PVD'd and reassembled. That hasn't caused him to not to take orders so I'd imagine it wasn't that painful for him.

  6. Wow, I don't know who it is. But the descriptions and pictures match. The pricing is reasonable. The descriptions are fairly accurate if you read carefully - Swiss ETA 7750 (Asian) They even have the 2892 Conquistador. They appear to ave almost everything. Nothing new but everything. If I find one of the holy grails I may give them a shot. On the 28 the movement looks good and it has the same 2893-2 rotor. That one appears to be already anodized, oops I mean PVD'ed. That is the only problem with it. I hadn't seen a case number higher than 175 before this one.

But if you want to go the PVD route and do it yourself with the more accurate and gorgeous hobnail dial try this one: ;)

I've seen lots of sellers on dhgate and ioffer than never update their watches. They say they can get them but they really can't. I emailed a few and they were honest and told me the factory doesn't make them but they didn't take down their listing. River said he bought every last available 027 and 028 from the factiory that made them. I don't think there are any more new ones available.

  7. I hope that this doesn't cause a problem for ajoesmith. He's planning to disassemble and reassemble a bunch of these, as part of the PVD group buy. (He's already done at least two, so it would be interesting to hear if he's seen the same issues).

I'd imagine he's just going to pop out the crown and take out the whole movt. dial, etc. He won't be taking dials off hands. It should be alot easier unless the keyless works gets screwed up taking out/putting in the stem.

  8. I have a PAM 027A just purchased from River. I always thought these came with a 2892-2 movement. My rotor is engraved with 2893-2. Could it be a 2893 rotor on a 2892 movt. or could it really be a 2893 movt? The power reserve feature works fine. The pic is from an 027A for sale in another forum that has the same rotor I do.

If you own this pic and want me to pull it, let me know. I'm trying to get this answer for both of us.
