  1. I bought the last one from River 1 week ago. He sold me the one from his private collection. There is one currently for sale on Repgeek.com if you are looking for one.
  2. Andrew has been good to me when it comes to answering stock questions. I know he drop ships but he has been honest and told me when things weren't available. He has several things still listed on his site that are out of production like the lemania 192 etc. I always email him first and ask if he can get it. If he can, I order it and it shows up shortly after.
  3. The 183 is in my opinion a dressier watch. I have many of the historics but no radomirs. I know that some of them are fixed lug meaning that you have to find special straps or leave the strap that comes with it on all the time. I'm not sure what DSN offers. I personally think the 44mm historics are less dressy and better for every day situations. The radomirs look a little dressier for those times it's called for. As for strap size, the radomirs take a 26mm strap. Check out the 47mm section on DSN's site. There are some including the 249 cali that are similar.
  4. Any rough idea when these will be ready for sale?
  5. The gen is all sapphire but the only rep you can currently get has mineral/synthetic sapphire. There was a version with real sapphire and another with a swiss ETA and sapphire. Those are no longer made and can't be found unless you find a used one.
  6. I was told the "factory" that makes the 42mm versions ran out of cases and is waiting for the case maker to make more. It could be a little while. As for the lume, I've heard the lume sucks, as in almost none, and none of the modders on the boards are doing B&R yet.
  7. I like the PVD version. I already have a bunch of stainless steel watches so the PVD was a nice balance.
  8. Where did you get that beaver strap from?
  9. FWIW, I ordered two DSN pams and have had no quality issues with them at all. I ordered two more and they should be here in the next few days. I always have DSN take a pic of the watches and email them to me for final approval. Maybe this makes him put a little more QC in his watches for me before he ships. I'll see if the next two are as good as the first two. His PVD is good, probably the best in the rep world but if you can get it PVD'd on your own, it'd be better I'm sure. if you are truly hard on watches, then yes, they'll probably look beat up soon with the DSN PVD. That's not a bad thing, however, as you'll have sort of a vintage look on your watch. I like DSN watches and after all my ordering is done, I'll own 6 from him, 7 if I get a fiddy. That said, I ordered an Angus 111E because DSN's sausage dial 111 looks pretty bad. His numbers are way to fat. The Angus 111E was a better choice over the DSN. Lots of gen owners have their 005 and 000 base models PVD'd so there is someone out there to do it. I'm not sure of the cost, however. Let me know what it cost and maybe I'll get a watch to have it done to.
  10. I can't help you with if it'll fit a DSN case or not but your thinking seems right. A 111 sausage dial in a PVD case is a 004. DSN sells a 004 so you should be able to get a case and the correct back for it.
  11. Oops! My bad. My wife had the car that day and the catalog was in it. I forgot about this. I'm looking at the 2007/08 catalog right now and this exact watch is on page 40. Well, mostly exact. It seems the black dial with AUTOMATIC only comes in a SS/Plat/WG/something silver case. The black dial in the gold case has the word CHRONOMETER instead. The rest of the dial is like the gen except for this wording.
  12. Holy cow, I looked at those yesterday for hours and never noticed the minute markers. Wow, I guess the mineral version is more accurate. The only thing that worries me is the exploding crystal issue. I've found plexi replacements but I need to see if I can find someone to replace it if it ever happens.
  13. Where are those pics you promised?
  14. The sapphire version has an error on the caseback. It shows it as an H model and these were only made as I models. TYhe back on the gen and the mineral version have correct marking.
  15. When did you buy it? I just talked to Andrew and he said that the only one that he actually can get is the mineral crystal version. That version appears to have the thinner font.
  16. I'm curious to see this thread get answered as I'm considering one right now as well. He has two: With sapphire and AR: http://www.trustytime88.com/index.php?main...products_id=982 With mineral crystal and SUPER AR (whatever that is): http://www.trustytime88.com/index.php?main...products_id=890 I'd go for the sapphire myself. I guess he has three. You could go for the swiss version too but I'm having a hard time paying $658. Maybe I should? Any input on if the swiss 7750 is really worth that cash over the asian version? I've heard more bad than good about the asian 7750 but $658 seems alot.
  17. I'm not sure I like the DSN 172 (I don't actually own one.) The numbers on his dial look way to fat to me. His 111 looks like that as well. I bought a 172 from Josh: http://www.pc-80108.com/pn17201-tantalium-...497-p-2035.html It comes with a fat crown and fixed canon pin. You would have to get it lumed down the road, however. It's one of the next few to be sent off to Vaccum once I get my 111 and 112 back. DSN's 082 is really nice as well as his PVD offerings. I've compared his 036 photo to a gen and it looks too purple to me. I bought a 036 from Josh that has a terrific chocolate dial and also comes with a fixed canon pin and thick crown. The only downside is that the dial says L SWISS L. 90% of the time, however, the DSN PAM is the way to go. I own 4 and I'm going to have him build me two more, a 201A and a 207A. Great watches.
  18. I was at the MB AD today and they gave me a catalog of upcoming models. I want to say that was in it but I forget. The catalog is in my car and I'm too lazy to go check it right now I'll reply in a bit when I look.
