sorry, but at th moment I cannot imagine to let my grail watch go. as source I only can point you to ebay - then you need patience and money. or you're one of these lucky guys who find such a piece on an flea market, like a mate @ RG.
all in all it's about 1.5k - including movement, repair and full service, strap, and all parts. the CG is standard for DSN 6152-1 case. work was for free, because I did it all myself (excluding the service on the movement)
Oh, you missunderstood the smiley - it's a happy laughing smiley. Yes, the SF240 is a movement with 8 days (192h) power reserve and I wind it only once a week. You can check it with google, there you will find many results to this movement.
... I'm gonna wind it again!
After 4 months of building my grail watch I'm happy now to present you the result of my work.
A big "Thank you!" to Ross and Stephan for helping me out when I was stuck with this great piece
and Jacob from http://www.jrartesania.com/ for the awesome strap.
Enjoy the pics!
and now a few pics with the "little sister":
I hope you like the pics!
looks like 2 secs...
... and: ISO 200, Aperture F3.7, Fuji FinePix Z33WP, Picture taken today, 09:15pm, cropped with PhotoScape... ...damned exif-data...
but it's a great picture!
don't remeber exactly anymore. but a little bit above $100, I think. but just ask vacc for the exact price.
And it's worth the money. really great work.
wow - sounds interesting. in opposite to the angelus hands they are nearly impossible to find in their correct shape, so this project is a great help to build some really great vintage homages.
well, you have to know that there are cheap swiss movs and expensive swiss movs. and the really expensive have the swan neck regulator. and this is copied by the a6497
