  1. I'm still really new to the rep community and currently own a couple reps with another currently on the way. I'm also fairly young (in my 20s) and I just wear my reps like I would wear any other watch, whether it is my Citizen Eco-drive or a my rep IWC FA Jones. These days, the rep that gets the most wrist time is the PAM111h and I would say 99% of the people don't care or even know that what a high end watch is and don't even get a second glance. The only high end brands they know are the Rolex, Tag's , etc. The only two people who have ever complimented is my barber (who is pretty into watches) and a client of mine who was also wearing a (gen) Panerai at the time. I just said 'Thanks, it was a gift' like it was no big deal and continued with whatever I was doing. No big deal
  2. I've been collecting for not too long and only have a few reps right now, but average I would say about $200-300
  3. WOW!! The custom leather NATO strap in that thread looks amazing! (Scroll all the way down)
  4. Hmm...for a display clock, this would be the one that i want: Panerai display clock from River http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=57368 Sorry, I currently have Panerai fever and when I receive my Omega PO hopefully that will pull me away...
  5. Like many others here, the main reason for me buying reps is due to cost. Sure, I would love to buy gens but i'm not rich. I've only been getting into rep watches fairly recently after researching it on the forums and online. Before when I used to think 'fake' watches, those cheap $20 watches with all sorts of 'bling' sold at mall kiosks would come to mind. I didn't know there was an entire market of high quality reps that are so close to their gen counterparts and actually look like an expensive watch when you are wearing them. My first purchase was an cheap IWC from Andrew a while back and after I received it I was surprised how good the watch looked (other than the strap, which I have replaced). I later did more research and found out it has many obvious differences from the gen, but it's a small price to pay to learn a lesson and I'll still wear it no problem. I now do my research on models I'm interested in, find out which ones are best for the money and read user reviews to help me decide. I now own a few reps and have a couple more on the way. I still have a lot to learn, but it's exciting for me. David
  6. Enjoy your extra long weekend man. It sucks that it's on a Tuesday, I have to work on Monday...
