Hi All, I received my 1st 2 decent reps from silix in December and just received 3 more today. I also have a terrible Sub that I picked up in Ibiza a few years ago but that shall be replaced soon enough. I am adding another 2 or 3 to my collection then I shall force myself to stop before it gets out of hand

I was very nearly fooled by these sites as I am sure a lot of us here almost were. I am so glad I get obsessed with things once I get the idea in my head otherwise I would never have found this site and would probably be sporting an overpriced pice of [censored] on my wrist lol.

Hi Kemit, Welcome to the board. I have found the place very useful and it has guided me to make some purchases. However the choice of what I wanted to buy was my own as I believe yours needs to be your own. If you dont know what you want have a look in a local jewelry store and see what takes your fancy then search around here to find a descent rep. Also have a quick look here for some ideas TOP 10 Under $150 From a fellow newbies observations the most popular reps tend to be Rolex Submariners, Omega Seamasters and Panerai Luminors in no particular order. I have no doubt about that, as I siad, I am not interested particularly in the watches but for the case and strap alone that seems very cheap.

OK, here is my first serious rep. It was $225 from silix. I have managed to scratch the Bezel insert (a week after I got it) so I shall be replacing that as soon as I find out where to get one from (any ideas) Other than that I am over the moon with it. It was running about a minute and a half a day fast when I got it but I have managed to get that down to about 5 seconds a day (with a lot of patience) Anyway, enough of me, here are the pics. Hello fellow rep lovers. I have been lurking around this forum now since about November when I decided to purchase my first serious rep. I already had a VERY shoddy Sub that I picked up from a lucky lucky man in Ibiza a few years ago and that kind of got me thinking that surely there must be descent reps out there if this one (AT FIRST GLANCE) looked so real. I nearly fell into the huge pitfalls of the rep world namely shiny sites showing pics of gens that turn out to be a pile of sh*t but eventually I stumbled across this place. I am now the proud owner of a Omega Seamaster Chrono that I purchased from silix. I also purchased a cheaper Tag link from him but thats not really worth mentioning. Anyway I am wittering on. I have recently bought my 1st serious rep (SMP Chrono) and it has sparked an addiction that I kind of thought it would. I have just ordered the Seamaster GMT (swiss eta), a Panerai Luminor Marina (Asian 21J) and a Planet Ocean with rubber strap (swiss ETA). After that I intend to finish off my collection with a Asian 21j Sub and a IWC Cousteau Chrono. I am preparing myself for the wrath of the wife . I would just like to say also, thanks to this forum as without it I would have almost certainly been scammed. I even fell for the fake rep review sites. I browsed here for about a month before purchasing my SMP Chrono from Silix and I am in love with it.

Happy New Year all, I have just purchased my 1st serious rep, an Omega SMP Chrono from Silix. I love the watch but have the problem with the chrono wandering at the 6 and I would also like it servicing. Does anyone know of any watch smiths in the UK? Thanks Paul
