If you take it to the extreme and try and sell a rep for gen prices would somebody be justified in speaking out? Where do you draw the line? This isnt ebay, it's a forum.
Times are changing. I am 29 and when I started working in offices it was shirt and tie for everyone. Now 10 years on ties are becoming less and less common. I have attended many meetings in Central London with well paid council members and I.T consultants (as am I) and often smart jeans, smart shirt and brown shoes are common attire. Certainly in the I.T sector dress codes are relaxing rapidly therefore it is not uncommon to see well paid proffesionals dressed casually.
Hi All,
I purchased this PAM from Silix just before Christmas but the movement has decided it doesn't want to work anymore. I have taken it to my watchmaker who is unable to get it going again. Does anyone know what movement I need to replace it with? Or even a suggestion for a better movement (would the hands still fit?) Any help you guys could offer would be great.
Thanks
Paul
I already have a 40mm PAM that I bought as a tester to see if I liked them and guess what, I do haha. my next one is going to be a swiss and I am in no hurry, probably buy it in June/July.
Thanks again mate
Paul
Hello All,
I am not well up on my Panerais but I do know what I am looking for. I want an automatic Luminor 44mm PAM with second hand at 9 and date at 3 I suppose you could call it an automatic 177 Any ideas?
Cheers
Paul

I also love this.

I was thinking the same. I love the fact that the watch is 'alive' on my wrist. I sometimes get worried if I cant hear or feel it chattering away and it is reassuring when you feel it fire back into life.
Never really thought about it like that and you are dead on. I loved Moore as Bond but for more of a comical angle. I also thought Dalton played the roll very well but my favourite so far is Craig. Saying that we shall see how he gets on in his next film.
Good afternoon/evening/morning guys and gals. I am just wondering how you all store your watches. My collection is growing rapidly and I am searching for the best method of storing the watches. I currently have a watch box that holds 3 watches. It only cost me
Absolutely spot on. Bond needs to look like a killer. I mean a secret agent with a licence to kill is far more likely to be a horrible bastard than a annoyingly suave wise cracker (Moore excluded). I watched one of the Brosnan films yesterday (the one with Terri Hatcher in) and I had forgotten just how bad he was. His fight scenes were embarrassing. DC plays bond how I believe he should be played.
Dunno yet, I am more for the Omegas than the Pams but they might grow on me. The one I just got is only 40mm to see how I like it. I think next I will get a brown leather strap for this one and see how it goes. My next purchase I think is going to be this
The SMP was my 1st and is still my favourite. I love the PO but was dissapointed Silix sent it with the SS Bracelet and not the Rubber strap. I have emailed J and I am sure he will sort it. I dont know why I seem to pic the sporty watches all the time, just my personal tastes I guess. I really like the Patek in your collection although I am not sure it is me. I have plenty of time yet though Also that pan of yours is one of the nicest I have ever seen since coming here.
