  1. Many slevin have this problem caused by a faulty retainer if I'm not mistaken. Can be corrected by someone who knows how and I think there is a tutorial on it somewhere on the forum.
  2. A couple pics of my Gen PO with Avitt's DLC. I can't say enough good things about Tony, a very nice guy to deal with.
  3. Today is a special day, so it's GEN 104 time Merry Christmas everyone
  4. Hi all, going on a Mediterranean cruise next week with a stop planned in Florence. I would love to show off my gen 104 at the Boutique Officine Panerai, but the wife might feel we are losing valuable visiting time. Is the stop at the Boutique really worth it even if it means to have to endure the bad mood of the wife for the rest of the day (or cruise?) or is it just like any other jewellery? Thanks for your comments
  5. Mine with her departed cousin, the AMG. One of the rare non-PAM I still wear.
  6. Good move, mine has an ajoes' ETA7750 inside. I guess mine is about as modded as it can be with the ETA, the gen dial and the lume.
  7. Here is mine lumed by The Zigmeister. He only lumed the hands and bezel as the dial is gen. Lume colors are exactly the same. Another The Zigmeister's wonder.
  8. Stop talking about gens, you're giving me ideas Will have to wait until Christmas bonus for that
  9. Thanks everyone for the nice words. I'll try to add better individual pictures shortly. I have to say that part of the funds came from selling some of my other watches. There is still the 195 that I'm interested in, but it will have to wait @hooky: got the 192 from a member here @andy: thanks, got it just in time like it was supposed to. The watch is great and the lume is awesome @dadog: there is a least 1 strap I won't change, the 111 has a gen Panerai strap on it.
  10. Oh yes, real bad, my wallet still hurts
  11. Here are the 5 PAM I purchased in the last week. From left to right: Ruby's 036 DSN 082 modded DSN 111F modded 192 292
  12. I find my 21.6k to be noisier than my 28.8k. With one good shake, the 21.6k will whirl more than the 28.8k, thus making more noise. Since some HBB now are equipped with 21.6k, it migth be the problem. Chopard also had 21.6k before newest version.
  13. I believe the first version without AR is still available from some dealers. Got a quote a couple of weeks ago from Hontwatch at RWI for both the old and new version. Very good deal on the old version (230$ shipped EMS to Canada if I remember). He can even send pictures of the watch with your name on a tag, so no drop shipping, but don't know if he does QC. I did order an HBB from him last month and was very pleased. Didn't buy the 3717 as I went on a PAM extravaganza since.
  14. Non chrono, very high quality while the chrono has the notorious problem with seconds at 6. But even if the chrono had no issues, I'd prefer the non-chrono, more classical.
  15. Maybe the last time I wear this one Here it is with it's sister:
  16. I didn't request the mods to delete my sale thread. I believe once it's tagged "sold", it gets automatically deleted.
  17. Being both a seller and a buyer in the last week, I witness the same thing and I know I didn't delete my post. cdv, if you want pictures of the St-Exupery, I can send them to you. This is what happened when I bought namor's pam 192, the post was deleted within 20 minutes, so I didn't have time to save the pictures. I sent him a pm and he generously sent me the full size pictures by email. But as to why it's deleted, I have no idea except maybe to free some place.
  18. Ingenieur minier senior (senior mining engineer) for a gold mine in northern Quebec.
  19. There is a button inside the strap that needs to be pressed at the same time as the pis is pushed. There is some force that might be needed to push the pin. The button serves as a "lock" to the pin. Good luck
  20. Dave, very good post, couldn't agree more. But for the time being, I will take good care of your Porsche Design. Good luck
  21. There is a small adjustment that can be made by installing the holes in the strap only on 2 of the pins in the buckle instead of all 4, this will allow you to expand the size of the strap a couple mm. It's not apparent and doesn't make the strap less solid.
  22. Very good looking. As soon as I can get an ETA 7750 and an appointment with you, mine is going to get the same treatment. I can't wait
  23. Great topic and was wondering how come I missed it with over 75 post in the last 5 days until I saw it was in the last year and 5 days From my own collection Daily: Ingenieur and AMG ti Ingenieur Dress: Saint-Exup
