  1. The trouble is mac, sales universally work without the option of return, especially 2nd hand sales....unless there is good reason (a genuine fault). Fair play to you for being so trustworthy but I do not think it is misleading to not offer the option of return except in exceptional cir[censored]stances. Good photos and a proper description do help to combat problems later(With most people). Change of mind type scenarios on the buyers side are not acceptable in the real world, (at least not without very definitive conditions prior to sale) why should they be acceptable in the PP world!

Most people once they have made a sale and the buyer receives the item which matches the photos and description in the listing accurately, then the seller is discharged of all responsibility after that point. I personally would not have time or patience under any cir[censored]stances to entertain returns from a buyer who complains "I don't like the fit/size/colour etc" It's up to the buyer to show due diligence and do their research and ask questions beforehand, if they don't, then that's their problem and its wrong that PP hand hold these idiots!

  2. So he is wearing both an AT and a PO in this movie? In the opening setup shots he is definitely wearing the AT, he seems to then change to PO later on....similar exposure given to two watches in Casino Royale.

I suppose somewhere they'll manage to get him to say the brand name soon again.

  3. What's bugging me lately is 'certain' forums almost taking the stand of (or at least heavily discussing) enforcing these protections by banning sellers asking gift payments for rep sales, it's comical tbh. We are all aware that on occasions the buyer doesn't get his watach and the seller is the issue, but these days its become as frequent that the buyer is the issue as he has a great method of try before buy at his disposal.

If anything its these disputes through paypal and the mention of reps or fakes (or even rep sites, who knows if the buyer is capable of disputing over nothing then they are capable of mentioning a bit too much about the rep community).... is actually bringing more attention to the forums.

I had a gen sale not so long ago and the buyer who paid via BT kicked up a big storm with me over a bent bracelet pin on one of the unused extra links. I made the mistake of not looking at the link pin prior to sale as I didn't need it on the bracelet (smaller wrist) and it was a preused watch(not new to me) ....I offered to buy a new pin or link and pin even or whatever would make him happy..... nothing would make him happy, he wanted a refund. This watch was in immaculate condition recently serviced movement perfectly finished and operating within cosc and he makes a big palaver over the bracelet pin on an extra link.

In reality what happened was he changed his mind, something else took a shine for him and wanted a refund to fund that. In the end after trying to work things out he wasn't anywhere near accommodating to anything so he was told where to go. I kinda miss that watch as it was a cracker, at the end of it what I really would have liked to done with that person was to buy him a whole new bracelet at my expense and deliver it to him in person then hand him his refund and insist on my old watch back(broken pin and all) then ram that brand new bracelet down his throat :D

.....tbh if he bought it via paypal I have no doubt he would've been the type to jump head first into a dispute.

  4. Have said it time and again about those bloody ludicrously unfair PP policies, sorry to hear about your woes sneed. Just shows that there are plenty of unscrupulous buyers in the rep game more than willing to take full advantage of those lunatic buyer protections on a whim. Sad to see tbh, I hope you can work something out, I was going to say withdraw PP funds to your CC and if paypal chargeback the CC, then you authorize you bank to re-chargeback to your account....but seeing as things are already frozen you are gonna have to sit this one out. Thanks for naming and shaming though, the rep community doesn't need these sort of folks, unfortunately they seem to be growing in numbers!

  5. Yep according to Angus the good quality rep of this is very close, thought I'd never see it tbh but will hold out and see how good it is.....shouldn't be too hard to hold out looking at the release here. ;)

I do agree that the obvious sports watches are the big sellers but I do think times are a changin' and there is quite a demand for certain basic dressy watches. There's only so much PAM and Hublot they can cash in on without expanding a little. A good quality calatrava or JLC master control or AP jules would be a reasonable seller for them these days I'd imagine. Of course movements and fits are always an issue but it would be interesting to see some effort put in. Just look at the sales of PP dress chronos and lange datographs to get an example (I know they are chronos) but seeing as they are obscure brands to most anyway the factories have done quite well from recent releases.

  6. Bummer maybe I'll have to try and build one myself!

:D, Hopefully the factories start to take notice over the coming months. Now that the new gen ceramic PO is getting alot of attention and purchases in the gen market they are definitely taking notice of that, it would be a huge potential seller for them just like the old/current PO rep was/is. With the bond AT, it probably would never even be given a 2nd look normally but bond has a lot of pulling power so maybe one of the big factories will consider it....we should at least be some bit wiser by Christmas of this year if they like the look of the AT as a potential seller.

  7. Saw that earlier, gorgeous dial, love the matte brick effect, would love that without the 007 on it!

AT bond blue, I don't think is even in discussion stage let alone production stage, we will see it for the next bond movie that follows skyfall.... hopefully ;)

  8. Yes, it's another notorious watch with a weak crown....just like the omega PO. There was even a sales thread recently where some guy was flipping a brand new abyss because it wasn't his style, it was at a good price, completely unused, then an hour into the sale he pulled it because the brand new watch crown failed when asked by a poster if he could check the crown action. :(

  9. Hi Cougar,

which TD is selling this PP?

Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

    PP AD

    Lol :D

That err 'rep' is available for a cool $280 ....sorry....$28000 :D

Why are there never decent reps of the simple 2 and 3 hand dress watches? The factories put all their time into these complex pieces like that new JLC with the plastic bracelet, but they can't be bothered to properly replicate a Calatrava?

I totally agree, such a shame, the lack of really good simple classic dress watches in the rep business is appalling!

  10. Cheers dluddy, yeah, I was hoping it wasn't the case. I acquired gen endlinks and clasp of this type bracelet and was looking to build a bracelet without having to go all out and buy the other gen parts.

As you know the reps that used the old speedy type smp bracelet are a good few years old now and it seems hard to know if they used standard pins and sleeves like then gen or just split pins.

I have an old speedmaster rep that used those awkward split pins. Also did a search through bytors reviews of the old smps and it seems some may have been gen like, others used split pins

so it might not be workable. Unless I can find exactly the right type. Oh well :)

  11. Swarfega is great for this ;)

.......Seriously though, I suffer from very dry facial skin, especially after shaving and have tried a few kinds, not really anti-wrinkle stuff but just a decent moisturiser which is not too greasy that works well. After doing the basic nivea aftershave balm stuff for years (which is craap) I moved onto the L'Oreal hydraenergetic stuff...I found it pretty good but not really worth it :D ...the price that is. There are a few things that are really good (for me anyway) and cheaper, one is Eucerin daily moisture, the fragrance free stuff, is excellent and also 'king of shaves' who do a moisturiser which is damn good aswell. Other than that the odd bit of pure vitamin e oil on occasions(greasy as fk so not too much) and palmers cocoa butter do the job better than most.

Just reading above...Jesus I sound like Victoria Beckham. :D
