Does anyone know or own a genuine 39mm Aqua Terra or Railmaster and could kindly tell me the case number? Trying to source some gen parts, unfortunately everything is by case number, not model number and I can’t narrow it down close enough to be sure I’m ordering for the right model/size. For reference, a case number from any of the following models below should work. Thanks in advance to anyone who might be able to help! Well, you're in luck because either caseback should work. The LH112 dial (sandwich dial) and the movement pictured above is accurate for H series on. The CG should be brushed, but the rollerball was introduced transitionally in the J series. So you could have a J with or without roller ball. For L series though, you would need the rollerball. PS. Don't think you want a LH caseback anyway. His is an I series with round case tube. Newer models like the J case you have, come with a hex crown tube.

The Shaka Sign is a common greeting gesture. It is often associated with Hawai'i. It consists of extending the thumb and smallest finger while keeping the three middle fingers curled, and raising the hand as in salutation with the back of the hand facing the person that is being greeted; sometimes the hand is rotated back and forth to emphasize the sign. Depending on context it can also be used to communicate notions such as "all right," "cool," "smooth," and the like.

Anything more than 1 is too many. But however many you want and are comfortable with is entirely personal. I have the "what if" problem where I'll keep certain watches just because "what if" that certain situation comes around that would be perfect for XXXXX watch. Otherwise it goes unworn. So I probably have 2 legitimate daily wearers and 4+ "what if" watches.

A couple of real life pics (Panerai strap version) in the links below if color is your main concern. Overall, they're pretty good for the price. Main issue is they're stiff at first but do soften a bit with use. There are a number of custom strap makers who can make something in similar design with better quality but higher cost, so there is a trade off. Thanks ubi. Yes the hour hand fits or at least stays on. The minute hand does not and is completely loose. Plops right on and falls right off if you turn the movement over. Unfortunatlely I don't have digital calipers and I'm checking with the seller again just to be sure what I got. Don't think it's a lost cause and in the end I can probably get it to work with some modification but just wanted to see ifthis was common before I started anythng.

Anyone with gen PAM hands have any problems mounting on a 6497 movement (H3 cannon pin)? The minute hand that I have seems to drop straight through the cannon pin (i.e. the hole is slightly too large). So there's no option to press them on and if you turn the movement over it falls right off. I'll probably have to glue them on carefully somehow. I tried the same hand on two other movements and had the same problem. In comparison I also tried rep hands, Fu hands, and DSN hands and they all fit fine so it's definitely something funny with this OEM hand. Based on the fit, finish, and packaging of the hands when I received them, I trust they are genuine hands so not sure what's up with them.

It says he has one for CONUS already but I couldn't tell if he meant he wanted 2 per area or 2 total (1 for CONUS and 1 for APAC). In any event I did PM FGD and offer to distribute in CONUS if he needed one more person, but haven't heard back.

If everyone else is doing it..... I'd be in for 3 sets as well once they are ready. Thanks Simon!

mil, that case looks similar to one I had and if it is the same, I hate to break it you to but I don't think it's a good case. It's not the "old school" helenarou version that was accurate for a Pre-V. This case is more of a mashup and not particularly accurate to any generation. Here's the post I made about the case I had. http://www.rwgforum.com/topic/101399-case-id/ The lugs and flat bezel looked okay, but some of the faults I found were: - Odd overall case size (slightly larger than a standard case, crystal looked larger as well) - Caseback was too large (would not accept any caseback I had, hole was too large) - CG screw holes too small (would not accept standard size CG screws, only the tiny ones that came with the case) Check your case to see if it has the same issues. I hope not and hope you have a good case and mine just sucked.

The crystal gasket sits in a groove within the bezel and usually stays there when you pop the crystal out. You can gently pry out the gasket if you want. Just be careful when pressing the crystal back in as it is easy to crush the gasket and the crystal will not sit straight. In fact, I think it is recommended to replace the gasket with a new one, but not sure where to find one. If anyone knows, I'd love to know as I could use a few myself.

Just tried the crimp method and worked for me too. But the bad news is a fat part of the crimper pushed up on the crown and actually popped the crown and stem straight out of the movement when I squeezed. So now the stem no longer engages the movement and pulls freely in and out. I would definitely recommend removing the crown and stem first before crimping the tube just to be safe.

Allow me to join the "stripped BP crown" crew. Just happened to me yesterday morning as I tried to set the time. So if anyone knows a source for a replacement tube, I'd be interested to know as well.

Another awesome watch Ubi. The rep dial is actually very nice but a gen dial will correct the minor flaws such as the shape of the "2" and the "0". It's one of those things like the pearl in the PO or the shape of the "2" in a Panerai that either really bugs you or not at all. But just on priniciple I think a gen dial would top off this already great Franken.
