here is an impression of my way to spend my free time this evening this is the batch of this week and the ones i corrected the threadings
-
HI all the reason why the shipments are a bit slow is the following: i had some problems with the batch of crowns i received last week (i get them batch by batch because the threadings have to be cut in). and these caused the slowing down of my output: the crowns I got last week had threadings which were not 100% so i checked how to solve this and decided to do recut the threadings by hand (each crown). i test the crowns with the stems before shipping so its sure that the customer has no problems with screwing in. that did not help my time schedule but anyway, i want to make things 100% and i think it does not help anyone when they have trouble with screwing in the stem. A good news is: i have a big bunch of packages ready today and a big run of crowns received today and a will pack up more this evening! So I hope to catch up this week again!! i am really sorry because this whole thing does take longer than initially planned but i am working on my limit. all i can say is I really appreciate your patience! i mean i really do not feel good (and do not sleep good ) because usually i stick to my schedule but sometimes its just not possible when things happen. I know how it is to wait and I fully understand your possible anger because I am a customer in a lot of projects here too! but as i said: everyone will get their crowns, thats for sure! the downside is that some needed to wait a bit longer than planned. and it seems that i am not the only one with time problems during such projects if you see on the board (seems that if this is common when you have third parties involved like CNC shops etc. dealing with these is a PITA!) i think i will not do such a big project again (or only with more helping hands involved) because its just too much hassle and time. also the members here are only a part of the customers who get crowns. we have customers over here in another forum and in real life too, so the number of orders is bigger than it seems, therefore the amount of work. but not to give a wrong impression: i do not complain about the work, only that it takes longer when [censored] happens...ARGH! again: sorry for the waiting time. Now I have to go and pack up some crowns LOL cheers palp! just for clarification because i had some questions about it: Not all shipments are delayed, only a part of the crowns (the part i received last week) had the problem with the threadings.

hi rolli, nice work! glad you like th crowns! they look really good! one thing: why did you ahve to use a new stem? but i did not! i installed many crowns now and never had to use a new stem until today. not on my 2893 PAM GMT, chrono 7750 and not on any handwind PAM.... ususally, you have to slightly shorten the original stem, so you can use the one that is installed...

hi all back in town again! shipments have begun, i did join in yesterday and yes its so time consuming. get the envelopes, package all up, organize the huge order list so that no mistakes can happen etc etc. we all have a daily job to do, so we have to do it step by step. and i have to catch up with all the PMs and emails... its a complete daily job i work nearly day and night. i never imagined that its THAT much work LOL but hey, i wanted it hehe but its a huge project (biggest for me yet) i am currently packing up another run of packages which will be going to the post office tomorrow. since i am back now it should accelerate this process now i will inform everyone with a PM when the crown is on the way! so please relax, i GUARANTEE all members that they will get there crowns, you know me! we are on the finish line! and i have to thank everyone for their patience!! P.S: please do not wonder if it takes some days to answer the PMs, my box (here and over at TRC and my emailbox is 95% full ) i do my best!

hi all! here is the status: we received the crowns from the CNC shop and we are beginning to ship tomorrow. since it are so many packages, we have to do it step by step. i hope you understand that we do it as fast as we can, but its a lot of work and we all have to do your daily jobs too . But it shpould not take too long now until everybody gets the crowns unfortunately i am on a business trip from today until next saturday and i can´t be online during this time (my job sucks ). i will answer pms when i am back online then! Therefore PAMela will begin with the shipping process this week and i will continue next weekend then. i will PM everyone when the crown is shipped! cheers palp

UPDATE: good news: the crowns are done and we received them from the CNC shop. all we need to do now is to sandblast some of them and to send some out for PVD treatment and to drill the threadings. i guess i can start with shipping the titanium look ones and the s/s ones soon (end of this or beginning of next week) we have some crowns left (we made some more than reserved), so if anybody wants one, please PM me!
-
UPDATE: ggod news! we received some more payments now and can proceed! production will start any day now and it will take 1-2 weeks until i will begin with shippping! if anyone wants to join this project, please send me a PM! cheers palp

Hi, just a status: i still haven´t PMded all on teh list, so please be patient a bit. I will send some more PMs tonight again, after that, all should have received the details! if not, please contact me! just a improtant bid: from all the members who reserved crowns, only a part already sent money and quite a number of members reduced their initial reservation (1 instead of 3 crowns etc). that causes a time pressure now. currently we have received only around 50% of the funds we need to pay the CNC shop next week. we (PAMela and me) can´t compense this completely out of our own pocket, therefore please: we need the funds to realize this project otherwise we do not get this done! we need at least 75% of the costs. So please, all members who made a reservation and already received a PM from me, try to send the prepayment as soon as possible. We have an appointment with the CNC shop next Monday to talk about details and initiate next steps. We too do not want to delay the production! The rest of you who already sent payment: Be sure, we will do everything to make this project happen! I work day and night at the moment, I have the modding work to do and a daily job which forces me to travel Monday to Friday :yucky: , so not much time left for family etc. but I am optimistic that we get this done! so everyone who did not make a reservation and everyone who wants a crown, PM me! Thanks palp

just some points because some members were confused about the prices: the regular price for a crown is 49 EUR. i know that sounds much but it isnt IMHO because: the CNC machinig is VERY expensive especially in small series like we have here, actually 90% of the money goes to the cnc shop. we had to agree to additional work steps to get the crowns that close to genuine (identical) with the correct bevel etc. but was glad to pay it without any hesitation (and obviously many of the members here too) , i upgraded all my PAMs because the quality of the crowns is impressive. it changes the complete rep PAM. and a genuine crown is many times the price. it seems that some members are not aware these things. we do not earn much on this whole project (and he time it consumes is imense) and some of the members who work on such projects surely know that. but earning money never was not the intention, i just wanted good crowns the second price of the mentioned 15-20 EUR (its 21 EUR) is a special offer from PAMela to the buyers of the very first run of crowns (in which i wasn´t involved) and that was not 10% perfect (bevel). so he decided to calculate a low upgrade price for these members that were not 100% happy with the early crown model. the price is below our cost, its calculated as a complete run incl.the crowns that go for the regular price of 49 EUR. its a very generous offer imho. simply because we did not want to leave some of the first buyers stand in the rain however, it may happen that the price may come down around 4-5 EUR, not sure now but we will see that after we have all orders processed and we will know the exact number we can have made. if we can get them a bit cheaper, we will give the complete discount to the members P.S: please give me some time to answer all the PMs and mails, my inbox explodes
