Dear All, I have finally decided to take a plunge into the Tag Heuer brand, I have been searching for the CALIBRE 1887, SPACE X Rep , simply love the design of this watch and the retro feel, but not sure if any of the trusted dealers is offering a good rep of this watch. Unfortunately I have failed so far to locate this rep anywhere. Could any one suggest where I could locate this rep. To have a backup, incase a good space x rep is not out there, I would opt for the 300 SLR as my other preference from puretime. I have read the reviews and they seem to be good. Do you think I should go ahead with the 300 SLR from puretime ? Looking forward to your suggestions

Hi all! I'm looking for a Tag Calibre 17 and almost all known dealers offer it for ~$400 with Asia 7750 Valjoux and 316 stainless steel. However, I found one on luxuryreplica.org which claims to be Swiss 7750 Valjoux with 440 SS for $688. Is this legit and if so is it worth the extra money? http://luxuryreplica.org/tag-heuer-grand-carrera-calibre-17-chronograph-swiss-automatic-white-dial-black-leather-strap If you have recently purchased or come across a good Calibre 17 around $400 mark, please let me know. Thanks much!

This problem is only noticeable on the Chronograph seconds hand but I am sure it is happening on the sub seconds too, just too small to see. When I run the chrono on this standard configuration A7750 (Carrera Cal.16) I can see the seconds hand skipping. it appears to stop for a beat and then skip ahead a beat once in a while. Is it time to service this movement? If so, just out of curiousity. would this be caused by a lack of lubricant or possibly too much lubricant? When I find an irregularity I always like to understand exactly what is occurring within the movement to cause the problem. Any watchmakers out there that might be able to enlighten me with some diagnostics.com I would appreciate the lesson. Signed, Confused , also signed Me, Mike

Hi guys, as some may of already read in the link below, I received my Tag Heuer Carrera Chrono today from Trevor, and promised in that thread I would post some eye candy of the watch, and share with you my impressions of this timepiece.. For those who have yet to read it, here's the TD Review of my buying experience from Trevor. The watch came very well packaged, and 11 days from payment to wrist. http://www.rwgforum.net/topic/157299-first-purchase-from-trevor-and-delighted-with-my-watch/ Onto the watch. This is the Tag Heuer Carrera Chronograph Automatic rep with sec@9, and fully functional chronograph. It's the plain black dial model, with black bezel, stainless steel bracelet, and see-thru case back. I was already well informed on the flaws of this rep (thanks to the many of you who have shared their experiences with this model, and reviews of it), and I have to say, although knowing of them did not put me off my purchase at all, as I really loved the look of this rep. Kind of reminded me on an old Swatch I had many moons ago, but better Upon receiving the watch, it had all its protective covering on, the bracelet, dial, bezel, and back case all were protected. My first impressions of opening the package was wow, just wow, what a beautiful watch, it reaps of quality, weight solid feel, and certainly has prescence on the wrist. Talking of which, the bracelet needs a link removing as it wears a little loose for my liking, so if anyone would like to share on a good pin removal tool, that would be great. In case you are unaware of the flaws/tells of this model Tag, they are as follows.. 1. The letter G of the name TAG on the dial above the day/date window is missing it's pointy arrows that the gen has. 2. Blue screws in the movement are visible through the case back window. Gen are silver screws. 3. The rotor of the movement has the incorrect amount of bevels engraved, two or three less than gen. 4. The red paint used on the tips of the chronograph big hand, and the smaller hands of the 6&9 sub-dials are a darker red colour than gen, the gen is more of a bright blood red. Given the above flaws/tells, as said earlier, these alone did not put me off buying this rep, its stunning in the flesh, and my photos below simpley don't do it justice. The bracelet, and clasp are of great, solid quality, with a positive click fasten and unfasten of it's clasp. Good engravings. Anyway, I have a bad habit of rambling on, especially about something I have passion for, and that is watches. Ok ok, I hear ya! Onto the eye candy. I tried to capture this watch as well as I could for you all, sorry about the smudges etc, enjoy, and thanks for reading/looking.

hello, i'm new to the forum & TAG heuer as well in some ways. 2 questions: 1) I understand caliper as symbol of exactness in quality engineering, yet how does this relate to "Caliper" written on element along inner ring of Carrera watch face ? 2) What does the "Calibre" represent ? --i've notice everything from small, e.g. "1" all the way to "36." --thanx guys in advance for helping a noobie.

Hi everybody, first off Happy New years! My question about the availability of Carrera Calibre 16s with a Copy Venus (or Lemania) or Sea Gull ST19, whichever it is being called these days. I have been doing a lot of looking through all of the trusted dealer sites and through the forms and have found many asian 7750 and Japanese quartz chronos, as well as a few Swiss 7750. I am quite convinced I will go for an asian 7750 model, but have been reading a lot about the fickleness of this movement, while hearing some great things about the Sea Gull ST19, especially it's durability. Has anyone seen this model, WITH the ST19 movement? If so, any dealers that you can suggest? I will start sending out emails after the New Years to different dealers to get their opinions. Cheers, and everyone have a happy and safe New Years!

Hi everyone, First of all I am a recently joined member and I have found RWG to be a great source of information and have really enjoyed researching and learning. I recently ordered my first watch and would like to share my experience. I chose the Tag Carrera with the A7750 movement and I chose Precious Time from the TD list. His communication was excellent and he promised delivery in 12 to 14 days. Well once I had placed the order I only had to wait 9 days and it was delivered as promised, packaging was in a jiffy bag and it was wrapped in multiple layers of bubble wrap. Not bad but a box would have been perfect. The watch itself is excellent, really top quality, it uses the latest A7750 movement but has the old style rotor rather than the one with cut-outs, a minor thing to be honest as the quality was really great. I had to go to a local jewellers and get 2 links removed but they only charged me £5 which was fine. Now the fit is great. Would I buy from this TD again? You bet! I now have a couple more watches on my list, funny how suddenly you want more than just one LOL! Well, although I have heard a lot about the A7750, both good and bad, I hope this one keeps going, now I just need to find someone to service it! Take a look at the attached photo (not great but I was in a hurry) and let me know what you think?
