borz Posted July 7, 2009 Report Posted July 7, 2009 http://prowatch-polo.com/showpic.asp?ArticleID=889 - haven't seen this anywhere else...
slickdick Posted July 7, 2009 Report Posted July 7, 2009 King has the same watch, different movement. Pretty sure other dealers carry the same aswell..
rosnik Posted July 7, 2009 Report Posted July 7, 2009 The V1 got standard Swiss 2836-2 W.o. engraving.
jfreeman420 Posted July 7, 2009 Report Posted July 7, 2009 Same watch and $200 cheaper....... I wonder if he can get the WM9 Yachtmaster.
JohnDorian Posted July 7, 2009 Report Posted July 7, 2009 IIRC, the V1 lacks the Superlumninova and has a worse crystal as well as not as nice a crown as the V2? What else?
slickdick Posted July 7, 2009 Report Posted July 7, 2009 It also has wrong crown position. Some good points to this sub. Add tons of gen stuff, mod the heck out of it, but still... low crown is one hell of a screaming giveaway.

I mean maybe 1 out of 10 RWG members would notice it?
slickdick Posted July 7, 2009 Report Posted July 7, 2009 Yes it is exaggerated. It could very well be 1 out of 10 RWG members would not even know let aside notice it on the wrist. However, dealers list it as 1:1 while it's clearly not the case. I think people should be aware of this non moddable issue. And that if one wants to mod it to be as gen as possible is a bit pointless if its based on a fundamentally wrong case.
kbh Posted July 7, 2009 Report Posted July 7, 2009 I do like that movement though. Even if you can't see it. Amazingly close to a gen considering what they have to work with.
highoeyazmuhudee Posted July 10, 2009 Report Posted July 10, 2009 gen crown, clarks crystal (maybe insert)and its good to go?
