prince458 Posted August 6, 2009 Report Posted August 6, 2009 i like to wear french cuffs dress shirts when wearing a suit. i always try to coordinate my accessories, watch, cufflinks, writing pen etc. curious if members here take the time to coordinate accessories when wearing french cuffs. oh by the way, what type of watch would you wear with french cuffs, more dress like Patek, larger dial like a pam fiddy or 111? rolex dj, explorer II, sub? i tried it with my custom fiddy and blue mother of pearl cufflinks: input/feedback?
AllergyDoc Posted August 6, 2009 Report Posted August 6, 2009 I try, too: My wife thinks I'm silly, but she does it too. (My cuff link should have been gold, not silver, but the blue works for me.)
archibald Posted August 8, 2009 Report Posted August 8, 2009 I used to wear only french cuffs, but have come to feel like I'm trying too hard to be slick, which is painful because I have some really cool cuff links, but yeah, I'd say you should match metals. maybe I should sell some cuff links here....I'd rather they stay in the family than go to one of the anal retentives at style forum.
docblackrock Posted August 9, 2009 Report Posted August 9, 2009 Matching watch and 'links? Ok ok not quite what we're talking about. So going upmarket then, there's always THIS combo... Very nice you'll agree, but then IMO nothing beats the perfect 'match'....
FxrAndy Posted August 9, 2009 Report Posted August 9, 2009 I try to but only have 3 pairs of cufflinks, so if any one knows where i can get IWC ones or custom made ones let me know.
omni Posted August 9, 2009 Report Posted August 9, 2009 Business here in the Hawaiian islands is laid back, we do wear long sleeve shirts but french cuffs / cuff links are non-existent. However, I do try to match my pens with my watch since I wear them in the pocket of shirts. I have a large collection of Mont Blanc that cover almost all bases. I also try to coordinate my drink I have in my hand.
jeff g Posted August 25, 2009 Report Posted August 25, 2009 With ANY cuffed shirt the only logical solution is THINNNNNNNNNNNNN. Cartier Tank Francias...Patek Nautilus Jumbo 7mm to 9mm. Thin alligator or SS. Thin to win. I find it annoying when the watch I am wearing will not fit under the cuff. Obviously.

dluddy Posted August 25, 2009 Report Posted August 25, 2009 I also try to coordinate my drink I have in my hand. Words to live by
chronology1066 Posted August 25, 2009 Report Posted August 25, 2009 I always try to keep it simple, white metal and a little sparkle. Depends on the occasion, for day to day plain metals on a wedding a bit more glitz and if its a Divorce party wear the full Freeman
alanharper Posted December 9, 2013 Report Posted December 9, 2013 Guy I recently got myself some cool cuffs from unicuffs. They've got some crazy mismatched themed cufflinks. Just google Unicuffs, you'll thank me.
