My GMT 16750 Quickset

Here's a new addition to my stable a matte dial transitional 16750 from 1979 (6 million SN) with a nice aged almost tan colored tritium. I've been wrestling with purchasing a gen 1675 for years and now with the prices dropping back down to where they were 3-4 years ago I decided to pull the trigger. Instead I opted to go with a 16750 quickset, call me lazy with setting the date -I love the silver datewheel! (but sigh, no flat top 3 to be had :( ).

So here are a few pix...

S,

Love your latest acquisition. I'm really drawn to the amazing natually aged coloration of the dial and handset. It looks like it is in excellent condition overall.

WIGH, B

Thanks a lot B,

The tritium patina sealed the deal for me, not to mention the condition. I'm going to look for a more aged insert for it at some point.

These classic Rolexes...

I mean, nothing against some of the new models... and while the new GMT IIc is a great looking watch generally... the original GMT "spirit" is certainly lost.

It's Pepsi or nothing.

I'll second that BT!!! The new models just don't do it for me.

Now, I wouldn't mind a more aged Pepsi insert. :)
