TeeJay
I love this watch. Where i can buy a good replica of this watch? Welcome to the forum I believe your only real route, is to build one yourself from available parts, rather than purchasing a completed replica... Best of luck
Ronin
Welcome. No mass produced replica of the 6538 exists. Closest are some red triangle 6536 or 55xx's. This is where a DIY or Franken project comes in. Enjoy,
freddy333
A number of the collectors on RWG offer something close (sorta...........kinda), but, as the previous 2 responses mentioned, I have never seen a credible-looking 6538 (or 6536*) rep. These are pretty much build-it-yourself projects.
forrestal
Thanks for our reply....have any pics of selfmade 6538?
miquel
Here's mine... The base was the MBK 6538. It is not a good way to start. The best bet would probably be a NDTrading case and go from there. I installed a MY bezel and a Brevet crown so far. It still needs a ton of work. I need a dial, hands, bezel insert, drilled lugholes, etc., etc. It's like everyone says, it's a DIY project.
freddy333
A 6538 is essentially a 6536/1 with a larger 8mm Brevet crown (which is both expensive & difficult to source). Here is my 6536/1 with standard 6mm Brevet crown & 'tropical' dial Or, if you prefer a Bond strap
