danza1812 Posted September 24, 2009 Report Posted September 24, 2009 I did the mods myself, here's whats in this watch: Gen Dial, Hands, Crystal and bezel insert. Rep rubber strap and swiss ETA 2824 UPO. Total cost
arniezac Posted September 24, 2009 Report Posted September 24, 2009 Thats a beauty, that is. A class act. Does the gen bezel insert come with a pearl and were there any issues with fitting it to the UPO bezel. The pearl on my UPO is horrible, completely different colour to the hour markers and stands out a mile. I would n't mind a gen insert for mine, how much are they and where did you get it from, if you don't mind my cheek. Cheers Arniezac
simzger Posted September 24, 2009 Report Posted September 24, 2009 oh my god this is really nice. well-spent money!!!
vlydog Posted September 24, 2009 Report Posted September 24, 2009 I really like how this turned out. I admire you for doing the modifications yourself!
ubiquitous Posted September 24, 2009 Report Posted September 24, 2009 Looks good! Job well done indeed! Does the gen bezel insert come with a pearl and were there any issues with fitting it to the UPO bezel. You have to buy the entire bezel assembly complete; I had to do the same for my 42mm 4th generation PO, but in my specific rep's case, the entire bezel fits without hassle:

Cheers Arniezac The insert does come with the pearl, it required a hell of a lot of filing down with a warding file, it still isnt 100% flush, but its as near as damn it! I sourced it second hand from a gen watch forum. Looks good! Job well done indeed! ubiquitous Posted September 25, 2009 Report Posted September 25, 2009 A 42mm orange would be a nice companion to your UPO, methinks!
