freddy333
Crown a bit too high, should be no lume at 12 & fonts are a bit off (mainly the subdials & especially the 4 in the running secs). Here is a gen
Nanuq
That is very, very good. Aside from the pointy 4, they got the crippled "R" right and flat top "A" with tiny serifs. Is that DW's latest? I am impressed.
polexpete
Freddy, Nanuq, thanks for your comments... This is a gen dial i brought water damaged a while ago and then sent to Kirkrich for a refinish. The most obvious flaw is the "swiss" pretty bloody awfull actually but otherwise ok. Think the "cosmograph" font could be a little thinner but gonna look okay in my franken 6265 Cheers P.
freddy333
Yes, I remember that dial now. This all makes sense. Parts of it look very good (the top 3 lines & T SWISS T), but the subdial numbers are wrong. You might send them the pic of the black dial I posted above, noting the 4 in particular & see if they can re-do the subdials (or repaint the entire dial with the correct subdial fonts). They did a couple of (non-Rolex) dials for me & they came back looking almost perfect. And I know they have alot of the original Rolex dial stamps, so it is probably worth asking. flex
I don't think Kirkrich can just re-do the subdials. I asked him to redo my gen 6239 daytona dial (just touch up the sub dial font) and they said they have to refinish the whole dial. After seeing this one, I am not going to send him
freddy333
Let me clarify - I did not mean to repaint just the subdials (I know they cannot do that). I meant ask them to repaint the entire dial, but with the proper subdial fonts.
