Mrkampa
Ok, so i just found a gen sub going for $2,8K. This is an 2008 model and looks mint! should i jump in, or is this a normal deal?
Mrkampa
forgot to add, its a regular black sub with date window...
Toadtorrent
I think usually around $4,000 with boxes and new condition...as low as about $2,600 without boxes. It's a good deal...but not a deal of a lifetime I don't think.
freddy333
Modern (sapphire x-tal) Subs are not my specialty, but I see alot of $4k 14060s for Buy Now sale on ebay from generally reliable sellers (search for 'rolex submariner no date'. freddy333
Ok, 16610s (date) seem to be centered around the upper $3k range.

I know nothing about this particular seller or watch, but, in general, bad pictures (small, dark, out of focus, shadowy, etc) = scam. Buyer beware. Mrkampa
thats what im thinking, subs on this site go for 3.5K and up. So im not ready to pull the plug befor he can verify the serial number with the papers..
alligoat
The watch looks OK from what I can see, but that leads to step two- buy the seller. Is he/she reputable, can you have the watch checked, stuff like that. Wholesale on a watch like that would be around $3500US, so $2800 is a good deal, but it's got to pass the smell test, as we say here in the states. If it smells fishy, get out of there.
