This is your buckle Philippe (picked it up an hour ago from Mr. Virgilio).

Hope you like it.

Cheers,

Awesome Work!!! :thumbsupsmileyanim:

A general question for your engraver: How do they go about copying a font? Do they need to know what the font is or can they "copy" a picture? I assume if they copy a picture they need to know the depth of the engraving, right? (Not going to copy your excellent idea--just thinking about some work I need to do on a Muller.)

Thanks in advance...

He can do both ways.

You can present him a drawing (I made an AutoCad drawing of the buckle layout with the text on an approximate font) or you can show him a picture. Or both!

Now this is the beautiful part: if some type (character, formatting, etc...) on the drawing is somewhat less accurate he will copy it from the picture.

Cheers,

M.

Maybe I will have the possibility to start a small scale production of these babies (2.5mm thick 316L steel, non removable and with engraving included).

I will be asking for some production prices for the next couple of weeks.

Meanwhile I would like to know who would be interested on buying.
