It takes away one of the things that make most IWCs great. Understated classiness and simplicity. That being said, most men that wear blinged out watches likely aren't interested in wearing the IWC brand out anyways, as they don't scream 'Look at me!!!'

Spoken very true, my friend. It's what I like about this model and what I fear got lost a bit over the last few years. I still prefer the pre-Richemont designs of the brand. Although I gotta say the 3717 grows on me...
