danza1812
Hi, My Franken UPO is nearing completion. I have alrady done gen dial, hands, crystal and bezel insert. I have been tempted to try to do the crown/tube mod (more for maintenance than aesthetics) but I have also ordered the gen datewheel. As much as I am scared to take on my gen hands, I really would like the gen datewheel in place! Does anyone know of any tutorials/threads on te datewheel fix? Can anyone offer any advice or tips? Muchas gracias Matt
Francisco
If you have the ETA or ETA clone, swap is quite easy. I think there is a tuto in some place....
ubiquitous
Pretty easy exchange. Start here- Dial and hands removed. Press this little spring in: Lift the datewheel off. Install is the reverse order. As an alternative, you can also take off the large keyless works cover and lift the DW that way as well. Datewheel swap on this one is very worthwhile. Old rep DW: ETA DW: Comparison: Visually striking:

Pugwash
It's much more important on 42mm POs than it is on UPOs as the UPO wheels are close enough, unless you've got the dial off already.
