condemore Posted November 27, 2009 Report Posted November 27, 2009 I like Daytonas. I have owned 6 that I passed to colleagues. But as soon as I have no Daytonas in the collection I always see one I like. This one is very "Techy" with the metallic grey dial and no contrast in the subdials. From watcheden. A7750
Guest Sql_pl Posted November 28, 2009 Report Posted November 28, 2009 Bezel looks awesome but to achieve the "flatness" they had to lower the position of a crown... can you post some pics from crown side?
prdubis Posted November 28, 2009 Report Posted November 28, 2009 Hi, It looks really great! I havent't found it on the site, can you provide a link? Thank you!
jmb Posted November 28, 2009 Report Posted November 28, 2009 Great looking dial! I also love the Daytona models...
jnkay Posted November 28, 2009 Report Posted November 28, 2009 I also looked for it among the gazillion daytonas on watcheden. A link to to the correct watch would be much appreciated.
AllergyDoc Posted November 28, 2009 Report Posted November 28, 2009 Probably this one: http://www.watcheden.com/rolex-daytona-chronograph-asia-valjoux-7750-movement-gray-dial-s-s-2009-new-release-version-i-39382-p-1.html
marcoxxx1984 Posted November 28, 2009 Report Posted November 28, 2009 the crystal height seems perfect to me! and the bezel is really flatter then the previous versions!
condemore Posted November 28, 2009 Author Report Posted November 28, 2009 Probably this one: http://www.watcheden.com/rolex-daytona-chronograph-asia-valjoux-7750-movement-gray-dial-s-s-2009-new-release-version-i-39382-p-1.html Thanks AllergyDoc for the search. It's incredible the amounts of variations watcheden has on Daytona's, some with very tinny changes. The one you have find is the closest of the one depicted in the thread, except it has red needles in the subdials. To me item 39382 looks better built. Going to my orders history I see that this piece is item 35312, that is no longer listed. Regards
TeeJay Posted November 28, 2009 Report Posted November 28, 2009 That grey dial looks really elegant, I bet the watch would look awesome on a decent leather strap
m5smg2 Posted December 26, 2009 Report Posted December 26, 2009 Thanks for the great pics! It is beautiful. I'm amazed the bezel looks flat and the crystal height looks correct too. All daytonas @6 I've had the case has been too thick-- the bezel too angled, rehaut too deep. But worst of all, they are TOO SMALL--they all measure 38mm bezel diameter (Gen daytona bezel is 40.3mm). I would gladly trade a lowered crown position for correct diameter and thickness. Could we trouble you to take a profile pic, perhaps measure the bezel diameter for us ? Thank you in advance! PS
Utheman Posted December 27, 2009 Report Posted December 27, 2009 Great watch and excellent photos as usual! It must be hard getting good shots of the grey dial like you do. Would you mind if I used some of your photos as wallpapers? I make some from time to time, and post them whenever I do - with the credit going to the originator of course. ww

m5smg2 Posted December 28, 2009 Report Posted December 28, 2009 I'm amazed the bezel looks flat and the crystal height looks correct too. I'm guessing this is the version I see on some sites claimed as measuring 41mm x 13mm. If so, this a different case/bezel etc than the 38mm versions @6 I own. If the bezel really measures 41mm and if it's only 13mm thick as claimed, then it is like the gen.
