Why are there chrono pushers?

Nice looking watch, but is there or isn't there a chrono? What excatly is the point of the pushers?

Are they discs under the 9 and 6 bars like a Tag or something? Hhhhmmmmm interesting

Maybe the subdials are on a the back?

Neat trick to photoshop the dials in from different models - but somehow they got it all wrong
