Logan Posted December 4, 2009 Report Posted December 4, 2009 Very nice looking dial. The rep straps have taken a bit of a jump in quality recently.. but no idea about this one
Dani Posted December 4, 2009 Report Posted December 4, 2009 silver/grey rings around subdials? not on the gen i think
goodfella0406 Posted December 4, 2009 Author Report Posted December 4, 2009 silver/grey rings around subdials? not on the gen i think I don't understand why they cant get that right. They fixed it on the Safari and Rose old. UGH So frustrating.... It is however something slight and I still may pull the trigger. I love this one. The Shaq looks good but.. Although I am a fan of the watch, I am not a fan of him.. AP should come out with a Kevin Garnett!!! I'll buy one for each wrist.
1976 Posted December 4, 2009 Report Posted December 4, 2009 Silver rings are also on gen, take a look at at the pic.
Guest Sql_pl Posted December 5, 2009 Report Posted December 5, 2009 Yeah the rings are there in gen too:
Guest Sql_pl Posted December 5, 2009 Report Posted December 5, 2009 Now let's hope they release this:
robertk Posted December 5, 2009 Report Posted December 5, 2009 Gorgeous! AP's make some of the classiest watches....and this one goes to the top of the wanna buy list!
hiker01 Posted December 5, 2009 Report Posted December 5, 2009 Yummy! Whoever gets this first, please post a Review, ASAP! Thanks!
goodfella0406 Posted December 5, 2009 Author Report Posted December 5, 2009 Now let's hope they release this: now that is a thing of beauty!
Shundi Posted December 5, 2009 Report Posted December 5, 2009 AP should come out with a Kevin Garnett!!! I'll buy one for each wrist. HELL YEAHHH!!!
hambone Posted December 5, 2009 Report Posted December 5, 2009 This is the first AP that has really spoken to me. Really, I was inthe AD and the watch said "Hiya Hambone, what's shakin dude?" Might have to get one. The 48mm is a clincher.
kronos twin Posted December 5, 2009 Report Posted December 5, 2009 Yes, this is now my favorite ROO (non barichello, non-Montoya). does the gen have black lume? Does the rep?
Samurai Posted December 6, 2009 Report Posted December 6, 2009 Does this Silver Themes AP have any lume?
goodfella0406 Posted December 6, 2009 Author Report Posted December 6, 2009 Yeah the rings are there in gen too: ON IT'S WAY! A full review and pictures to come soon....
1976 Posted December 6, 2009 Report Posted December 6, 2009 On the gen the hands and numerals have that black lume,on the rep must be like the safari with no lume.
fitipaldi Posted December 7, 2009 Report Posted December 7, 2009 this watch will be my first AP. The only thing I'm worried is about the movement; is it a reliable movement? is it worth to spend $500? if I service the watch (The Zigmeister's service) will the watch be fine? thanks
Samurai Posted December 7, 2009 Report Posted December 7, 2009 I have 3 AP sec @ 12 (first one I got was over a year back when this was launched). I would say the movement is first rate...no problems.....pretty sturdy.
Dani Posted December 8, 2009 Report Posted December 8, 2009 If you get a watchsmith in The Zigmeister's class or others to give a run over it should be find for a long time.. On this model my opinion is the sub dial rings are wrong in some way, to big maybe? to pronounce?
hooky Posted December 22, 2009 Report Posted December 22, 2009 this watch will be my first AP. The only thing I'm worried is about the movement; is it a reliable movement? is it worth to spend $500? if I service the watch (The Zigmeister's service) will the watch be fine? thanks Yes, i even think that Zigmeister commented on this one once, that once being serviced (the seconds @ 12) that then everything is fine and that the overall construction of the modification is quite good.
