Nanuq
What, do you mean the garlands and wreaths by the front door? Other than that, it looks just like decorating day at Chez Nanuq!

cornerstone
Tsk...it isn't a Nanuq challenge without a bear. The things Nanuq will do to test his guttering, I don't know.
Demsey
a bear. LMAO! Yeah, Bob is the only guy in Alaska with 14 gauge steel gutters. Self cleaning in a 100kt 'afternoon breeze'.
cornerstone
Yeah, Bob is the only guy in Alaska with 14 gauge steel gutters. Steel was his old gutters. Not since he discovered this stuff: "Neutron Star Crust Ten Billion Times Stronger Than Steel" [NB I believe next month's National Geographic may be covering a story "Alaskan Man's Gutters Ten Billion Times Stronger Than Neutron Star Crust"]
redwatch
I saw this somewhere else and apparently the guy had to take the decorations down as it was causing such a commotion with people. Some 75 year old women tried to lift the ladder up to help the guy hanging from the gutters. Also, the guys property was damaged from so many people driving the cars up on the grass in such a panic to get to him to help out.
Nanuq
You couldn't be more right, Red... and all these people keep getting their cars buried in the snow in my front yard! I think I'll make a guardrail... from some lumber Ten Billion Times Stronger Than Neutron Star Crust.
Demsey
and all these people keep getting their cars buried in the snow in my front yard! ......and by sheer coincidence, it just so happens Troop 214 is standing by with snow shovels and sand bags participating in a 'Dig You Out' fundraiser. Ever ready.

redwatch
Here's the full story: Good news is that I truly out did myself this year with my Christmas decorations. The bad news is that I had to take my fake man down after 2 days. I had more people come screaming up to my house than ever. Great stories. But two things made me take it down. First, the cops advised me that it would cause traffic accidents as they almost wrecked when they drove by. Second, a 55 year old lady grabbed the 75 pound ladder almost killed herself putting it against my house and didn't realize it was fake until she climbed to the top (she was not happy). By the way, she was only one of many people who attempted to do that. My yard couldn't take it either. I have more than a few tire tracks where people literally drove up my yard.
