PeteM Posted December 21, 2009 Report Posted December 21, 2009 http://cgi.ebay.com/Used-PANERAI-Automatic-PAM-088-Rare-Clear-Back_W0QQitemZ320462880627QQcmdZViewItemQQptZWristwatches?hash=item4a9d137f73 Reported
PeteM Posted December 21, 2009 Author Report Posted December 21, 2009 Good Catch Pete I would like to take credit mate but I saw it the other day on RG I reported it then so have others but nothing is happening so with time left I thought we could get some more reports over here where it matters
offshore Posted December 21, 2009 Report Posted December 21, 2009 Reported, also again threatened a VeRO notification. O/S
jfreeman420 Posted December 21, 2009 Report Posted December 21, 2009 Does panerai even make a gold movement?
iceberg1459 Posted December 21, 2009 Report Posted December 21, 2009 man this is crime, how can people try to pull such thing..and even worse, why so many idiots bid
dolphinfreindly Posted December 21, 2009 Report Posted December 21, 2009 this watch is still for sale... how?
redwatch Posted December 22, 2009 Report Posted December 22, 2009 I guess eBay staff on are Christmas Holiday's already. Unbelievable! I can't believe this is still up!
PeteM Posted December 22, 2009 Author Report Posted December 22, 2009 It looks like someone is going to have an expensive Christmas with little to show for it. Except a new year that starts off arguing the toss with Ebay and Paypal!! I wonder where things would stand legally if the buyer became aware of the notifications that had been made to eBay prior to the end of the auction and eBay had still allowed the auction to go ahead?
offshore Posted December 22, 2009 Report Posted December 22, 2009 Still reckon they will pull it! O/S
offshore Posted December 22, 2009 Report Posted December 22, 2009 Well they DIDN'T pull it! So someone has a $3750.00 headache! Either the seller or the buyer! Amazing,........ just goes to show the mentality prevailing at fleabay! O/S
dluddy Posted December 22, 2009 Report Posted December 22, 2009 It blows my mind that someone would spend almost $4k on something they have not researched. One look on the Panerai website and you can determine that there is no gen that looks like that
Ronin Posted December 22, 2009 Report Posted December 22, 2009 Let alone from a person with ONE (1) Feedback. OMFG....
fakemaster Posted December 22, 2009 Report Posted December 22, 2009 Woohoo! $3.750. Congratulations to the new owner who thinks you can buy a $7,000 watch for half price.
PeteM Posted December 22, 2009 Author Report Posted December 22, 2009 I dont know what eBay are playing at, they must of been inundated with reports, certainly enough to warrant a closer a look and by doing so realisingwhat that watch was. In a way the buyer deserves what he gets with all the indicators given on the ad itself, feedback, pictures etc and then not researching correctly. But I wouldnt wish that sort of hit on someone at this time of year. Just noticed the winning bidder only had 2 feedback maybe they are trying to scam each other!!
spooky driver Posted December 22, 2009 Report Posted December 22, 2009 i've reported a few seamasters to ebay that had seriously off He valved and they never acted one even went for
coolfire Posted December 22, 2009 Report Posted December 22, 2009 One BIG, expensive X'Mas mistake, indeed.
veyron Posted December 22, 2009 Report Posted December 22, 2009 I won the item, but arent's going to pay for it offcourse, don't use my ebay account often so I don't care if I get bad feedback from the guy
PeteM Posted December 22, 2009 Author Report Posted December 22, 2009 I won the item, but arent's going to pay for it offcourse, don't use my ebay account often so I don't care if I get bad feedback from the guy Serious? Spot on mate, nice one
fakemaster Posted December 22, 2009 Report Posted December 22, 2009 Just noticed the winning bidder only had 2 feedback maybe they are trying to scam each other!! You just nailed it there sir. An Ebay buyer will take advantage of sellers who don't know what they have just as quickly as a seller will with people who don't know what they are buying.
trailboss Posted December 22, 2009 Report Posted December 22, 2009 Reported to Panerai. Better late than never. Maybe eBay will cop a serve. Col.
