slay
does the gen sport a 7750. too? if not, the spacing of the gen dial is probably different from the rep dial.

archibald
Classy guys over there at time zone: "dial texture looks good. One can only hope the producer is hit by a car or his location hit by a very localized (1 house) typhoon." His concern for the repmakers' neighbors is admirable. ryaku
I am thinking if I should use the gen dial. You would need also the black external ring with minutes markers. There's no replica with that black ring as far as i know.
sye46
I just received the Laureus Port Rep from River today.... lemme tell ya, this watch is no joke. It is really really really close to the original. I'm considering selling my gen port now....... NOT!! I'll never sell my gens because I have a rep of it. Owning the real deal has a totally different feeling. But Overall.... really good quality. My digi cam is broken, otherwise, I'd take some photos. Finepics
The thing is they are bloody nice watches regardless of it a fake or not. What other watch could you buy from a regular high street jewellers for the same sort of money? A Casio quartz!!!!

Very glad to read this from someone who owns the original would you say it is a much better likeness of the original than the Viagra Jones replica is of its? g. sye46
Very glad to read this from someone who owns the original would you say it is a much better likeness of the original than the Viagra Jones replica is of its? g. The port is definately better than the Jones rep. I've never seen a Laureus Port in person before, so I can't say how close the dial colors are. (main reason why I got the laureus port is cause I'll probably never get the chance to own a gen). But the build and quality of the case, caseback, dial, and weight is very very very well done. I'm so afraid to use the chronograph, so I don't think I'll ever even try it (really, who needs a 30 minute chronograph anyways?) I only got the gen because i like the look of the dials. I main thing I can tell the difference is that the numeral markers are applied (glued) onto the rep. The gen ports are raised numerals (the numerals are part of the dial, not seperate)
doug
The photos of the rep Portuguese at the top of this link are misleading as they make the dial on the rep appear to be somewhat grainy and silvery. The photo of the gen at the bottom, the one the guy is bragging about, is much closer to the gold hands rep I received from EL. The dial on mine is a pure pearlescent white and looks like a near clone of the gen in the photo on this link.
