Watchmeister Posted January 12, 2010 Report Posted January 12, 2010 Congratulations. AS you now know when it comes to Fiddy's and 217's it is all in the "flat" 6's and 9's. No one has ever gotten those numbers exactly right - except for Panerai of course. Best of luck with the remainder of the project.

Now please put the watch together so we can see it I got my 217 DSN dial and hands today but that has of course not the flat "6" and "9" :s. But the lume on my is as bright as the Vacclumed dial and that is great!

Plus I aint a great David Bailey!! My wife lost my camera (2nd one now!) I have been looking for a new one but I havent a clue which one to go for. I dont want SLR etc I aint that keen but a decent small one for family and watch use.

PeteM Posted January 13, 2010 Author Report Posted January 13, 2010 So am I mate! I have just agreed to buy a EL case set so its getting there. Just not sure whether to wait for an EL crystal or gen. Or go ahead and get the DSN fitted when I have all the bits ready.It would be easier to decide if I had seen either in the flesh to get an idea of how different they actually are.
