gplracer Posted January 17, 2010 Report Posted January 17, 2010 Is the size of the movement and layout of the sub dials different?

alligoat Posted January 17, 2010 Report Posted January 17, 2010 Actually the V 72 is 13 ligne, so it's apparently smaller than the 7736 which is 14. The V71 was also 14 ligne. Don't know about subdial spacing.
Ephry73 Posted April 4, 2012 Report Posted April 4, 2012 I hate to revive this post, but if one uses a 7750 DW case, then a 7736 could potentially fit except for the added width. Has anyone milled the inside of the case and case back to fit the wider 7736 onto a DW case?
lhooq Posted April 4, 2012 Report Posted April 4, 2012 I get the feeling that if you trimmed the 7736's plates and bridges until they were as thin as wafers, and carved out the insides of a Daytona case until it was like a stainless steel eggshell, you STILL wouldn't be able to fit one in the other! Subdial spacing should be identical between the V23/72 and the 7733 family, at ~7.8mm from canon pinion center to subdial center.
Ephry73 Posted April 4, 2012 Report Posted April 4, 2012 I was thinking of using a 7750 DW case for this. The 7760 has almost the same height as the 7736 from what I read. would be interesting. Specially if gen dials configuration can be maintained. Right now waiting on DWs 7750 movement and seriously thinking about the mystery movement to check it out. E
