urbanspit Posted January 22, 2010 Report Posted January 22, 2010 Good morning everyone, yesterday in the evening I found a small parcel in my letterbox I was awaiting wishfully already - my new IWC 3717. I have to admit this picture is stolen but it is absolutely exactly showing my new beauty: The only thing I miss at the moment is the German day wheel (which should be already on the way to me) and then it's perfect! Cheers, Markus p.s. Is that crown to screw? It seems to me that the winding inserted in the body came out a little bit...
kgbAgent Posted January 22, 2010 Report Posted January 22, 2010 good choice --- almost as nice as mine
OSRep Posted January 22, 2010 Report Posted January 22, 2010 Extremely beautiful markus, congratulations! Wear it well.
urbanspit Posted January 22, 2010 Author Report Posted January 22, 2010 Ho folks, thx for your compliments - I do know that this piece is "Extremely beautiful"... ;-) Seems to be the IWC 3717 fan corner here, I feel good by now! Cheers, Markus
ubiquitous Posted January 22, 2010 Report Posted January 22, 2010 Ah, you went with the Spitfire! Very nice! Looking forward to seeing the finished piece with the day/date wheel swap.
modelizer Posted January 22, 2010 Report Posted January 22, 2010 Seems to be the IWC 3717 fan corner here, I feel good by now! Yup, there's a few of us here.. Welcome to the goodie room Markus..
lanikai Posted January 22, 2010 Report Posted January 22, 2010 Very nice Congrats on a great piece!!! AC/Lani

I can confirm they are en-route mate. nice watch, the spitfires never really bit with me but still nice watch REad the care and feeding post for mech watches and only reset the chrono with the seconds hand close to 12 and you will have no problems ( if you time somemthing with the chrono and say it takes 25 seconds, then restart the chrono and let it run until it is at 55 ish seconds, that way you wont have the seconds hand spinning on its tube.)
urbanspit Posted January 22, 2010 Author Report Posted January 22, 2010 Hi folks, seems exactly to be the right corner for me here! ;-) I can confirm they are en-route mate. Great news, Andy - thanks for that! And thank you also for the hint with resetting the watch - I now know what is mentioned in one of The Zigmeister's very helpful threads. I am really looking forward to get the German day wheel!
urbanspit Posted December 20, 2011 Author Report Posted December 20, 2011 Hi Folks, it's me again - I am desperately seeking for an IWC deployant buckle for my beauty. Any hints where to order or where to get this (does not have to be Gen)? Thanks a lot in advance! Bye, Markus
panermaniac Posted December 20, 2011 Report Posted December 20, 2011 Hi, I don't know much about IWCs but would this help? Hope so
grifter Posted January 3, 2012 Report Posted January 3, 2012 Try sending a pm to Sead at Supermirrors. He has been able to get me all sorts of rep parts and bracelets. For gen, try pm ing texski or concepta! Or keep your eye on auction sites. Or there is also Ace Jewelers. Hope this helps.
Texski Posted January 4, 2012 Report Posted January 4, 2012 Markus, The Spitfire was the one that hooked me. The gen dial is magical as it manipulates the light. It's a beautiful watch, enjoy! Mike
urbanspit Posted January 10, 2012 Author Report Posted January 10, 2012 Hi grifter, hi Texski, thanks for your hints - I have been successfull right now dealing with rafi and received and awesome deployant clasp and the "kevlar" strap from TWB. Currently I am only looking for a gen crown, I'll contact Sead or Texski soon... ;-) Bye, Markus
