I have a question regarding 16610 bezel inserts.... Now correct me if I am wrong, but I believe that at one point the 16610 bezel pearl was a luminous dot of some sort that was later switched to a non-luminous pearl. I'm pretty sure that the 1980's version of the insert was luminous. My question iis when did Rolex make the switch to the modern pearl we have today?

Thanks!!!

The luminous dot inserts were used on 5512's/5513's/5514's/1680's/1665's, etc. up until the transition in the mid 80's to the sapphire 16800's and 16660's, where they were replaced with the new pearl using the white gold setting.

Thanks, Ubi. I knew you'd have the answer. With a little leg work I've been able to track down an abundance of inserts but the dealers seem to be confused (or just uneducated) as to which is which...
