Limestone
So, as most of you guys I have to start out somewhere. This is my first Panerai and as I wasn´t sure if the model was something that would fit me, I thought that I might start out easy. So I asked Reg to source a "budget" PAM111 for me , and he succeded as always. The watch head is great quality but it might not be that accurate to the original. The strap on the other hand has a very cheap feeling on it, but that was expected with consideration of the cost of the watch. The deployant buckle is a little ruff, sharp on some edges and even abit hard to open and close. (maybe I can "wet sand" the edges and lube the "hinge") So please give me feedback and your thoughts, as I´m here to learn . (is it possible to mod the flaws that´s there, or should I get use to this one, and then look for a better version?) See pictures further down in this post Thanks for your time // H

Limestone
Looking nice! Have a new strap in mind for it? Well.. been looking around the forum and internet. Not sure what to get. Really like the deployant buckle, but also like the "ruff leather" with regular buckle. What do you think/recommend?
PeteM
Well.. been looking around the forum and internet. Not sure what to get. Really like the deployant buckle, but also like the "ruff leather" with regular buckle. What do you think/recommend? Unless you get a good PAM rep strap dont bother but get one of each. If your not sure then pick up some used ones mate in sales forum. That way you can buy a few and if you dont like em you havent lost so much. PM sent mate
