maugomez Posted February 19, 2010 Report Posted February 19, 2010 Hi board!!! Yesterday spent a lot time shaving the CG
kbh Posted February 19, 2010 Report Posted February 19, 2010 That's about as good as you can get with a Noobmariner, IMHO. The problem is when you square out the inner part, you have too much gap between the crown and the CGs. Also they end up a little skinnier than the gen.
Gorilladame Posted February 19, 2010 Report Posted February 19, 2010 Nicely done!!! If I were you I would only get a smaller crown for total perfection!! Really nice watch...
kbh Posted February 19, 2010 Report Posted February 19, 2010 I believe he said he already put on one of BK's crown and tube sets, which are next best thing to gen available.
Gorilladame Posted February 19, 2010 Report Posted February 19, 2010 Didn´t read this . but as I said: really really nice work!!!
ubiquitous Posted February 19, 2010 Report Posted February 19, 2010 Definitely needs a shorter profile crown. That looks to be the same crown as the noob; too tall. Genuine crown is shorter in height, like this:
maugomez Posted February 20, 2010 Author Report Posted February 20, 2010 oh man bk crown looks amazing in this baby!!!!
By-Tor Posted February 20, 2010 Report Posted February 20, 2010 Great work! I wonder if it'd be possible to squeeze the lugs a bit closer to eachother somehow. The SEL gaps on (some) Noobmariners is very annoying to my eye. But this old classic is still a great Sub rep.
HauteHippie Posted February 21, 2010 Report Posted February 21, 2010 CGs look fantastic. Next to a shorter (correct) crown I wonder if they'd need to be shortened. Sometimes they are a bit too long. Anyhow, great job so far!
