V Posted September 8, 2006 Report Posted September 8, 2006 Well a little contest.. I will post the results later today Previews from the episode where the watch is clearely seen (later on):
Edge Posted September 8, 2006 Report Posted September 8, 2006 I noticed this quite a while ago and have always wondered if it's a gen or not, seems a silly prop to have on a lowly CSI investigator lol. Also noticed in the big bounce the other night that M Freeman is wearing the same YG Casablanca that there has been a mass buy of thanks to archard, and I wondered if MF had really shelled out $15-20, 000??
HighDef Posted September 8, 2006 Report Posted September 8, 2006 It can be real, supplied by Panerai itself for ads purposes. Big time name brands do this all the time in HollyWood.

Hmm.....two watches went out to LA!
V Posted September 8, 2006 Author Report Posted September 8, 2006 The correct answer is number 3 He is wearing this beautiful 1973 hommage to whatever happened that year Panerai (maybe the grandson of Panerai was born )... Instead of bracelet he is wearing it with a crp quality rubber strap. Photo of the watch here: And of course the screencaps from the episode:

But I think the bezel has markings so rep or real, it's probably a GMT.
Pugwash Posted September 8, 2006 Report Posted September 8, 2006 At least it's realistic. There's no way he'd be able to afford a Gen on a gubmint salary.
V Posted September 8, 2006 Author Report Posted September 8, 2006 Sorry guys but I think it is at least PATHETIC to go out on an international TV series with a cheap crap like that... which he probably bought at Canal St. Of course it is more pathetic for me to pause and crop the frames to see if it is a genuine or not but anyway ...

You know how much they earn the New York CSI ? I think if someone's primary target is the watch (and NO new suits, new shoes and fancy stuff for a couple of months) many people can afford a used one and I think a CSI can
Estaban Posted September 8, 2006 Report Posted September 8, 2006 I would think he could affort a decent rep at least. Thank god it's not the Urinor.
Guest HeWhoIsLikeGod Posted September 9, 2006 Report Posted September 9, 2006 I heard he is dirty and this is just one of the perks of working for the other side...
dadog13 Posted September 11, 2006 Report Posted September 11, 2006 i often look at this serial...it is pretty popular in Croatia... well, i noticed him wearing a Pam...just said it to my GF last week...now after seeing this pics...dunno if it ios a fake or a real one..but i suppose he can afford himself a gen...
