The silver part (the bezel) can be replaced, but I don't think it's necessary. The insert definitely can be replaced and should be if you can find a gen. Managed to buy a gen bezel with insert here in UK on Ebay a couple of months ago but they are rare. Best bet is Rolexforum. Steve Mullholland may have them.
