ubiquitous Posted April 7, 2010 Report Posted April 7, 2010 I recently built this Pilot hommage for a friend of mine as a surprise gift: Since I'm planning on presenting it to him today, I thought it was only fitting to wear my 3717 franken... (even though I really wanted to wear my Tudor MC ) Happy Weds! //ubi

HauteHippie Posted April 7, 2010 Report Posted April 7, 2010 Man I feel naked. I forgot to put a watch on this morning! But I'd like to pretend that I'm wearing this one because it is due some wrist time:
Guest avitt Posted April 7, 2010 Report Posted April 7, 2010 Nice build, Ubi! It's an oldie, but a goodie for me today...Highly customized Hamilton Khaki Navy GMT:
ubiquitous Posted April 7, 2010 Author Report Posted April 7, 2010 Thanks, gang. The hommage is for a friend of my wife's; One of the hardest working guys I know, puts his wife and son before himself in everything and despite his hard work, I'm not sure that they are living as well as they should be. So, I figure a watch might be a fun way to brighten the day for him. I put this thing together with a helenarou kit and a movement I had that was sitting around in the parts box. It's not much, but hopefully he likes it...
vafarmer70 Posted April 7, 2010 Report Posted April 7, 2010 I think that is something super kind and you are a great friend for doing it. Something good will come back to you many times I am sure.
