offshore Posted May 5, 2010 Author Report Posted May 5, 2010 I wasn't entertaining it for 1 minute...more wondering if it should be reported? O/S
maxman Posted May 5, 2010 Report Posted May 5, 2010 I wasn't entertaining it for 1 minute...more wondering if it should be reported? O/S Oh Im sure you were not "entertaining It for a minute" just saying It does seem like the seller Is being quite honest and clear about the band and cassing. It dosent appear that he Is trying to mislead anyone. Mike
alligoat Posted May 5, 2010 Report Posted May 5, 2010 In US dollars it's a little over $3500. The only problem I would have is that based on the 3 in 23, it looks like a 1608/1575 DJ, which is a 30 yr old movt.
HauteHippie Posted May 5, 2010 Report Posted May 5, 2010 Price wise, it's not too far off from the melt value of the solid gold components - if they're truly solid 18ct (75% gold). Style wise, I'll pass. But it does look OK to me.
alligoat Posted May 5, 2010 Report Posted May 5, 2010 Yep, sort of a HK/CN special, someone takes the Rolex guts out of a DJ and puts it in an aftermarket gold case with a president's bracelet. A few years ago, some of the dealers had the solid 18K reps, maybe in the $3200 range- but that was 3-5 yrs ago. Now days the DJ/DD case is $2K and the president's bracelet another $2-3K, before you put a movement and dial in there.
