I did raise the datewheel on mine by myself, the date which is visible now is just a printed paperdisc. I still have the standard 7750 Asian movement in it. Andei3000 Posted July 6, 2010 Report Share Posted July 6, 2010 As some have asked, how big the 187 wears, I made a comparison shot between Breitling Bentley 6.75, Super Avenger and the 187. In my opinion the three watches are wearing the same size on your wrist, although they have quite different dial sizes (6.75 - 40mm, SA - 34mm, 187 - 33mm) My conclusion is, that the SA and the 187 are built like tanks and the 6.75 is more the classy watch under the big ones. Watchmeister Posted July 6, 2010 Report Share Posted July 6, 2010 I haven't looked at the Honpo site in years. Still the same 7753 187. Functionality is good but everything else is bad. All aspects of the case are inferior. The date pusher is ridiculously large relative to gen, He valve should be engraved "HE" rather than raised lettering. And the fact that the 7753 dial doesn't really fit in the original accurate 7750 cases tells you that everything is just off. I need to get a Rawling strap and then I am set! This had been mine some time ago and I really miss it. Spottet because there is a little flaw at the relume on the "6" at the 6 o Clock Subdial. That Strap was build from Ocram with a A8 Buckle. I have had installed a Takashi DW as well. Beautiful! I'm glad you enjoy it! Cheers R. What is its origin? I am amazed at how many looks It gets with this strap and buckle setup. The Bezel on this thing is super tight and clicks loudly. I purchased it from Cubeistan, who I must say was a Pleasure to deal with. I had a bad experience with the first Pam 187 I bought (Basically fell apart) and was alittle apprehensive on buying another. I am super Glad I did. Sadly the only thing it is missing is the pearl holder. I just lost the pearl holder off my keeper watch. Rotten luck. If anyone had another spare case with a pearl holder please let me know.
